Damn right, portagee so we just make it work with what we have. I restored a 91 Cat so had some paint leftover and figured spruce it up. My hoods open .001% of the lifetime of this truck so in essence it only benefits me if im e er looking for a leak or something out the ordinary. Would it have been more orthadox as cummins tan? Yes. But i saved that $$ fir more important things in my life

I personally would take the sound of a diesel ANYDAY over a hemi. I already know that the Mopar keyboard killers are cringing right now, getting ready to shoot sharp comments at me, but that's ok. I just prefer diesel, just more reliable in the long run. That's all.
@rustybloodsaltysoul8640
@rustybloodsaltysoul8640 9 ай бұрын
Absolutely. No reason one couldnt last 400k miles with attentive maintenance, that and diesel can sit for years without going bad, gas your lucky if it lasts 3 months now before the ethanol starts breaking down and gumming up the injectors etc. And reliable is right, you could p-pump swap it throw an air starter on and all you need is physics to run the damn thing lol

I have a 302 in my ranger. How did you route the heater core hoses like that? clean setup btw
@rustybloodsaltysoul8640
@rustybloodsaltysoul8640 11 ай бұрын
Appreciate it man, and the 95 stangs have metal crossover tubes factory that run over the side of the intake, i cleaned those up, painted, and wrapped with header wrap to keep less heat dissipation from going to the intake on top of the carb. If you dont have crossover tubes you could honestly just run 3/4" or whatever size hose it is to where you need them to go, on the stangs our two heater core size hoses are two diffrent size I.D.'s. Depending where yours come out, you could always stub a fitting out to hose clamp a silicone hose onto.

Does Link Belt not have an operable clamshell calming winch? That "rubber band" would annoy me...
@rustybloodsaltysoul8640
@rustybloodsaltysoul8640 2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes we'd put another wrap on the tagline pulley to give it more tension and take the slop out of the line, but it all depended on who was operating that day and what they liked.

@@rustybloodsaltysoul8640 All of our cable excavators have a built-in winch with slip clutch. The clutch is adjusted to keep the rope taut during normal operation. The operator can clamp or release the clutch with a lever. In this way, the clamshell can be guided precisely - and also rotated by means of alternating tightening and loosening. This winch was also used in the past to open the bottom flap on the face shovel or to dump the backhoe ;-)

@Rudi Weserwolff sounds like a sweet setup, definitely could see more fluid control over the load out with it. Yea this was our "newer crane" i wanna say it was a 72', everyone there loved it she was quite literally ole reliable for the dinosaur she was. Back at the yard they had i wanna say a 50's/60's American 355 with a cummins that we used for land based pile driving, truly old school where you were using your body weight against the steering clutches just to turn the old girl.
@Rudi-Weserwolff
@Rudi-Weserwolff 2 жыл бұрын
@@rustybloodsaltysoul8640 The old mechanical cable excavators that I know (e.g. Weserhütte and Menck) have easy-to-use small levers for the cable winches. This slows down the auxiliary brake discs, which then switch on the cable winch clutches. At Weserhütte, the small levers are built on top of the long levers - so the excavator driver can operate 4 functions with both hands without changing the levers. Right hand digging winch(close clamshell) and turn around, left hand hoisting winch(Grab pull up, along with the digging winch) and clamshell calming. In this video you can see the excavator driver pull the grapple in and then swing out to hit a spot farther than the boom top: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3yvfWyairR8rsk
