95 Mustang clutch clunk

Installed McLeod street pro clutch in 95 mustang gt, makes a loud clunk when the clutch is fully released in 1st, doesn't do it switching between other gears. Billet flywheel has the 50oz weight with the actual flywheel bolts blue lock-tightened & torqued to spec. I'm thinking it has to be either the flywheel or frictions. Trans coming out this week to figure out the issue, has been driving me nuts

No I friggin wish lol I wrote MCLEOD an email and their response was something like out of the combined 30yrs clutch experience we have here with our master techs we've never seen anything like that...they had no idea what could cause it. I daily drive it regardless and beat on the ole 5.0 here & there and I'll give the pro street clutch this....it holds like a Mofo. Hasn't let me down once. But first can be a nuisance in traffic, depending on the day she'll clutch chatter and make that noise which can be annoying. Other than that if I ever take the trans out again and figure it out I'll report back

@@rustybloodsaltysoul8640 Mine does that very loud... no slipping or grinding, just clunk when I engage the clutch. Sounds like the flywheel but Im not sure.

@@ddy246 did you install the setup recently?? For awhile I was extremely stressed thinking the billet flywheel bolts were coming loose and it was going to snap the end of the crankshaft off....but I blue lock tightened them and torqued to spec and obviously it's months later with no catastrophic issue. It's crazy how audible and how much you can feel that "clunk". There was a Valair stage 2 in this before that was fantastic as well, just a brutally hard clutch pedal (but the old clutch cable was junk as well and was most of the issue).

@@rustybloodsaltysoul8640 Mann this thing drives me insane... I know its not the trans cause there is not issue when its in or out of gear, only when applying that damn clutch. Now I got to pay a ton of money just for a shop to look at it .
