Love your videos! I almost made a horrible choice, but for some reason I decided to watch your videos and now I’m on the right path I’m going to go for a plan N ! Thank you! So many agents they push that Plan G . If I decide later on to go to Plan G would I have to go through underwriting?

Just an observation he is the CEO of medigap which is the same as Supplemental, he encourages people to start with supplemental 😂 of course. Please people before making a decision compare the $$ you can pay for hospitalization between both and you will be surprised also he miss information for LIS Low income subsidy People can join medical and Medicare advantage and pay ZERO for everything also part B will be covered plus all benefits like vision dental OTC gym transportation food , international emergency coverage etc... with this inflation 65+ people needs benefits and lower cost. Unless you have a wealthy life go get supplemental. Also Supplemental is private too don't let you trick you on that

Thank you, Matthew, for giving us both the good and the bad news about Medicare Advantage plans. It’s really important to understand how prior authorizations can affect coverage, and I appreciate you laying out the facts so clearly. It’s concerning to hear that neither federal nor state laws are preventing the misuse of these authorizations, but knowing what to expect helps us make more informed decisions. Your straightforward approach really helps cut through the confusion-thanks for making these complicated topics easier to grasp!

I’m so thankful that God lead me to your videos! I almost signed up with a Medicare advantage plan, but there was something inside of me saying don’t do it when I started watching your videos and then I realized I’d rather do the Medicare supplement! I have not signed up for one yet, but I’m looking at plan N or G. You won’t believe all the agents that I talked to that really push G! I watched a video about access charges, and everybody scaring me with that. Also found a lump in my breast. I’m so thankful I did not get it with an advantage plan. Also hearing that if I go on plan N I was told that if I wanted to switch to another plan like G that I have to go through underwriting is that true? I was hoping that plan N would be sufficient.

For many of us, during all of our working years, our employer provided basically a Medicare Advantage plan for the workplace. In my situation, I had a primary care provider who met most of my needs. If I needed the specialist, he had no problem recommending one for me. My workplace plan also included a good amount of dental and vision insurance. It also included any pharmaceutical drugs that I needed. Now that I am retired, I can choose a Medicare advantage plan in my area, which includes that same doctor, all of the specialists, local quick cares and hospitals, and a maximum out of pocket which is less than $1000. Please tell me why I should leave this type of plan and pay through the nose for traditional Medicare, plus an advantage plan which will continue to increase, plus a drug plan that will continue to increase plus dental, and not to mention vision coverage as well. If I was totally happy with what I had throughout all the years in the workplace, why would I want to change now? I am open to your professional thoughts. Thank you very much for this video!

Among other things, you are assuming the Medicare Advantage plan you have now will be the same next year or the year after. That is not the case. The benefits will change, the cost will change, the network will change, the drugs covered will change, your doctor's acceptance of the plan will change.

@@MedigapSeminars Although with employer group insurance, you have to take whatever they offer, which is usually just one choice. Some employers offer a choice of an HMO or PPO, but usually they are both from the same insurance company. They may also decide at some point to not renew their contract with that insurance provider, and will switch to a different insurance company with a different network. Don't like it, well that's tough. At least with a Medicare Advantage plan, the enrollee has several choices in many areas of the country, and can always switch at their discretion during Annual and Open enrollment periods. The only plus I can think of with employer insurance, is that the premiums are often heavily subsidized by the employer.

In addition to what Matthew said, during our working lives we're in our 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and early 60s when our need for medical care is relatively low. As we move into our later 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond things will start to break and we will need more medical attention than we used to in our younger years. I don't want to have to fight a behemoth insurance company for medical care that my doctor deems that I need. That's the last thing I want to worry about when I'm older and sick. Original Medicare (which we paid into all our lives) and a Supplement gives the best coverage than any employer plan, Obumblercare plan or advantage plan can.

I love saving money but Plan N has the same monthly premium at 65 as Plan G (from UHC in Southern CA). In addition, as we get older, we find ourselves needing to go to more doctors each year. Once your medical visits become free at 65, why would someone not want to go to their PCP, their cardiologist, their dermatologist, their ENT, their endocrinologist and others on a regular basis. Copays will add up very quickly with multiple doctors and erase any savings you might see up front. Plan G for me, not even close.

You must be fair to poor uninformed Americans who will choose Medicare plan . On every step patients must get PREATHORIZATIONS in order to get proper care. These insurance companies wants to maximize profit and limit health care. Some hospitals already refuse to accept Medicare advantage.
