I'm a piece of mind type person and have been with plan G since going on part B of medicare. I was in the health insurance industry my entire career but since retiring I have used you as my source. As deductibles rise so do premiums so every year I have one of your agents give me a quote. As long as you stay healthy and can qualify let Matt get you a quote. These plans are all standardized by the government and all medicare supplement companies have to pay if you are excepted. These educational videos are great especially if need good explanations . Thanks Matt for all the time you give for those who need explanations. Well done.

One mantra i find myself repeating to people over and over again, "You should get today the insurance plan you will want to have when you are sick or injured, because once you are sick or injured you cannot change supplement plans." Your comment point to that exactly. You are stuck in one of the best health insurance plans in available anywhere. Not a bad place to be stuck in. 😃

Had no clues about Medicare. After dad passed and mom moved near me, I asked to attend a meeting with a Medicare consultant similar to you. So many terms and strange explanations different than my traditional insurance. She ultimately went with a Plan N and is happy with it. I have since watched many KZbin videos. Your are easily the most no nonsense and easy to follow. I don't go on Medicare for until May 2027, but I will will definitely give you a call as it gets closer to help me navigate these strange waters. I was looking at High Deductible, but not leaning toward Plan N now. Thanks for making a confusing topic, everything government touches is, much clearer.

I just retired as an insurance agent and now newly on Medicare starting after age 65. I initially applied for Plan G but changed to Plan N before it went into effect. The key is that the Co-pays are not for every medical treatment. Initial savings is about $30-40 monthly, and I expect the premium increases to be lower than on G. I wish I had presented Plan N more frequently when I was an agent.

@@MedigapSeminars The premium differential between plans N and G has only grown larger in the last 4 years. I’d rather have plan G and not have to track the small $20 copays, nut it doesn’t make financial sense to spend the extra dollars for the higher premium. By the way, I had my first telephone Dr. Visit and it was billed with a specific billing code for that, so it was covered 100% by Medicare and my supplement. It was not billed using the regular codes for in person office visits. No copay.

That's the biggest worry for me going into this: the idea that you have to choose correctly the first time because you may never be able to change. The same is true for those who abandon Medicare for an advantage plan. If that "too good to be true" private insurance plan begins to delay and deny medical care -- as seems to happen more and more -- you may not be able to come back. Scary stuff.

You want to get the plan you will feel most comfortable with when you are sick or injured. One thing is certain with all of us, our health will worsen over time. Look at the monthly premium difference between the Plan N we recommend and the Plan G we recommend. Then measure that differenc in "Office visits per month".. For example, if there is a $40 difference between Plan G and Plan N, that is two office visits per month, every month for the rest of your life. No matter how yu slice that, Plan n would be a better value because you will never have that many office visits. medigapseminars.org/contact-us/

Thanks for all the useful info. You helped me get my first Medicare plan, and subsequent years Plan F HD.Planning on continuing as I don’t think changing to G or N would benefit me(would it?).Can definitely recommend Matthew for any newcomers..

I am on Aetna Plan G, but the premiums are rising a lot faster than the Aetna Plan N (based on Kansas Dept of Insurance info I’ve been tracking for three years). I’d be interested in changing to N, but I am afraid of talking to a sales person and getting stuck with Medicare Advantage or a carrier I do not want. That stresses me out more than the higher premium of G. We had a terrible experience when we first signed up.

If the difference in premiums is $15.00 or 20.00 more than N I would go with G
