I had a test question ask what would be a sign of upset, high Alk, High temp, High Ph -- I would say all three, but it’s only one answer. I saw in your video high ALK would cause foaming - so I’m guessing it would be high ALK as an answer?

This can be good for typical wastewater, in car wash wastewater you need something emergency, chemical agents that are biologically safe and effective to reduce the foam that will always form.

This presentation was very informative and helpful for my startup UASB projects. I thought I'd ask my questions here to better serve your viewers... Perhaps you can offer suggestions for my Biogas projects for my winery~ I recently acquired several closed vertical 26"x12' PVC tanks with various valved access ports, sight glasses, overhead misters, and gas/liquid fan-injectors at the bottom. (I have considered routing 20% of the output gas back through the injectors to facilitate agitation of the sludge.) For the input, I have a 'wet-weather' pond that generates a continuous supply of duckweed. My intent is to harvest the duckweed, break down the cellulose structure (to help prevent floating), and initiate anaerobic digestion. The output gas will be filtered through a six-stage scrubber, compressed, and stored for AC generators, heaters, and stoves. In your presentation, you mentioned smaller reactors, which lead me to think this information could be applied to a wide scale of reactors. Your detailed information appears to be best suited for municipal systems. Equally interesting is that most of the 'third-world' reactor systems appear to function with little or no 'scientific' testing or maintenance. Naturally, I'm equally interested in utilizing the various by-products generated from my winery operation. On this point, I have not yet found information regarding the effect of residual alcohol on the anaerobic process... Considering the current increasing cost of fuel, my mission is to offset operational fuel costs while utilizing my available resources as experiments with various reactor processes. [It seems apparent that your ancillary products may be instrumental to my mission...] Lastly, do you have companion videos of working systems to augment this presentation? Thank you in advance for any insight and/or suggestions. Cheers~!

So I live in AZ and I have these all over my back yard where my AC drain runs off. So much for them not being found in the desert. Especially when it’s 110 outside.
