Good work, I think S&S used to make a teardrop for the Road Star I'm trying to hunt one down but no luck yet, I have a name of a guy at S&S but still need to call, need to make sure I have the coin if they'll sell one to me, bloody expensive though!

99 XV1600 put into gear bike shuts off. Pretty sure it's the neutral safety switch. can I disconnect the switch? Side stand switch works fine.

I put an S&S filter om my roadstar silverado. I have been studying a process called Japanning and wanted to coat my air cover in that. how do you dechrome something and are there other ways to transform chrome ??
@MrHotrod4602 жыл бұрын
Sounds interesting, the only way to dechrome really is reverse electroplated unfortunately
@shitmonkey2 жыл бұрын
@@MrHotrod460 since the process of Japanese is baking it I wonder if I etched the Chrome with some acid if that would work but I don't want it to get so thick that I can't read the lettering on the s&s cover

can you just leave the stock plugs in the cylinders and use something like JB weld and seal the hole ??

I just completed this. I used canned air, sprayed upside-down to "freeze" the plug, and wiggled them out with vice grips. I actually broke the nipple off accidentally, which gave me more area to grab. On the front one, I made a make shift slide hammer and it popped right out.
