When I was young (may be 16-18 years old), i read a book on Brahmacharya (celibacy) by Swami Sivananda (who was supposedly a Doctor, allopathic or otherwise, before becoming a Swami). He warns in that book that excessive masturbation leads to hair turning white, and surely he was right at least w.r.t. what happened to my hair by the time i was just 20-21. I started coloring my hair as early as 22-23 (you are mocked at for having white hair) soon after I got a job, only to discontinue recently at about 46-47. Swami Sivananda also says something to the effect that it you engage in sex everyday, you might as well dig your own grave - he appears to have been correct at least in relation to what I'm experiencing, though it's only masturbation in my case (I'm 48, M, single, living alone, and a virgin, with almost entirely white hair and white beard) While I've been sexually overactive (to my detriment) since very young, my need to masturbate perhaps was in response to deal with anxiety - i never learned to fall asleep naturally without masturbating.
