I remember seeing Phil down at QPR in the 70s. He often wore his football shirt on stage. Great man. Comes from my home town. He went to Barbara Speake Stage school (along with Jack Wild and a few others). His Mum was the School Secretary..

When I was a young man, I worked in the gaety theatre in kirkgate Leith. I remember Hector, he played straight man to comedian Johnny Victory. One of their famous skits wastwo statues coming alive at night. Hector was Rabby Burns and Johnny, McGonagall. Hilarious

Amazing Grace made me cry. I was at Wembley Arena for this tour, and when he started playing it on the pipes, we were in awe, then the whole stadium started singing it. As a Christian, it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. And to hear it again, I was once again brought to tears. Thank you.

Tony Banks is an underrated songwriter. Someone here posted that this song was left off Duke in favor of another Banks song, Cul De Sac. Love that song, but would have preferred this one. I guess that would have been a bit of a depressing sequence: Alone Tonight, Evidence of Autumn, and Please Don't Ask. I would have enjoyed it.

This track was the first time Tony used a Synclavier on a Genesis song. He used it here for the violin/string sound.

Two of the very funniest comedians this side of 2000. Alongside Mitchell and Webb, these two guys have created comedy that will stand the test of time. It's a shame that this has only got 1500 likes after 7 years.

Absolutely no idea why Mike and Tony disliked this song, nor why Phil hated "Me and Virgil." They remain the two most difficult Genesis tracks to find. I have the latter, but not this one.

Love the delicate Tony-beautiful bridge of this song, contrasting so emotionally with the verse and some of the chorus. One of the hidden gems of Genesis. More people should be pulling this piece out of its too-long obscurity.
