I have drawn the hanged man for this period ( every new moon I do a card per week of the lunar month ). I am reading that the hanged man is associated with Pisces, which is interesting because you are correlating with the 'soul of the messiah'! This was a wonderful synchronicity. Venus and Saturn are currently in Pisces.

The externalization of the hierarchy is something that really needs our attention. Could this be referring to the emergence of a world government? The Lucias Trust and the occult forces of theosophy as well as Masonic rituals are well integrated into the NWO. Certain principles of the New Age have long been working behind the scenes directing a global agenda. Perhaps the externalization of hierarchy indicates that they are ready to move from working secretly into the open. We have seen more and more occult rituals on The public domain which has definitely felt like preparation for something major.

This is the second time I'm listening to this audio and this helped me to remember that this is a group! Although work in solitude is necessary, I feel encouraged by the presence of others. Regarding the “Externalization of the hierarchy”(EH), I've understood you were just pointing it out and I think it is worth mentioning this “prophecy”. I didn't know about “the age of the forerunner” (I have only heard about the Kali yuga) nor the EH. I find what I have read so far (some articles) about the EH a bit unsettling... I think I have to try to understand it as profoundly as I can (reading directly from the book).

Thanks for the comments. I like using different systems of the Tree and like the system you present. William Gray makes the Strength card take a central place . He puts it in the center of his circle cross cosmos as the divine energy or power shskti that keeps cosmos alive. Much like the Shaktas in India are Goddess centric. Force can also be the power that the magician channels with his concentrated will and imaginstion. Also the power that God makes the cosmos with The watery chaos or Toho and boho.
@alchemicalweddings7489Ай бұрын
Thank you for your thoughts on this Thomas, I like the fact you are not welded to any one system and it makes sense to have different models for different purposes and times. I also reflected that Gray's tree might be one of the other trees, the Tree of Assiah, perhaps? Either way, Force is a pivotal card and is, in fact the very centre of the tarot, being number 11 of 22.

Re Von Balthasar one cannot not comment on the mystic Adrienne von Speyr. Her book on the prayer lives of saints and religious luminaries in history is extraordinary- Book of all Saints. Balthasar, Ratzinger, Speyr, Tomberg all knew of each other. Also the Italian mystic named Divo Barsotti (1914-2006)- The Motionless Flight- another voluminous soul. Or what of the uneducated bed-ridden writer Maria Valtorta and her many volumes of The Poem God, Maria Valtorta. Rejected (for now) by influential people in the Catholic Church but its detailed descriptions increasingly validated by science. Pick any one and all the others come too. But masses of people live empty lives.

I love a good novel and especially Russian literature. The Master and Margarita is one of my absolute favourites, not only for its brilliant sardonic wit and observational power, but also the fact that Bulgakov was a fearless critic of the Stalinist regime, frequently terrifying his friends with the directness of his scathing critiques. He was such a brilliant writer that Stalin couldn't bring himself to have him killed and instead went to his theatre productions over and over again. I also love the work of all the Inklings, as well as The Leopard by Lampedusa and A Glastonbury Romance by John Cowper Powys. Also Anna Karenina and classics of English literature such as Wuthering Heights and Middlemarch. Poetry is also one of the greatest ways to reach spiritual truths - Rumi, Omar Khayyam, Matthew Arnold, Emily Bronte, Shelley, Blake, Shakespeare....I suppose we could go on!

@@jjcm3135 It seems to me that you really got Bulgakov's humour - a few times on my first reading I cried laughing until my sides ached, he truly captures the utterly farcical yet nonetheless horrifying essence of the situation faced by citizens in relation to the Bolshevik regime. On the matter of Stalin, he was very deeply immersed in the occult and employed it to great effect during his time in office. This began with a form of ancient Georgian 'moon magic', which a Georgian history professor once told me about. Fascinating and terrifying by equal measure when you consider what the egregore of communism became.

This was amazing! Thank you so much.. love to hear your readings. Life seems to allow for different contrasts of experience and different angles... And with that the contrast between being eternal and temporal is very clouded. We forget our eternal home through amnesia in the amniatic fluid and thus this earthly experience exhalts what is already our eternal/immutable state. I think when we exaust our karma here on earth through death we are given another perspective of the brilliant awareness that is always within and can exhalt creation and God the true way seeing them both as one. If we are indeed nearing Aquarius I'll meet her there. She was and still is an incredible soul. I played a song that she had requested me to play at her funeral, "Preciso me encontrar" or "I need to find my self in english". "Let me go I need to find myself. Laugh to not cry"... It is tough to manage these hardtimes but I have to seek the master within for this inside job. Thanks again for the care and help ❤

Thank you, C, for these encouraging words. Panning for Gold: Very well said, and has made me realize that this is what I’ve been doing throughout my readings, movies, music, and art. I guess I undervalued what has been taking place in my striving (also well put). If I understand correctly, it can include taking the seemingly trivial, discarded and maybe the unsightly and attributing a new meaning. (alchemical?) I suppose it’s like what Tomberg says of symbols in that a true symbol is malleable. (I hope I’m remembering that correctly). I was very touched to hear your retelling of having MOT in your hands as it was very similar to mine, albeit 25+ years later than for you. Overcoming that fear (that others may not understand) and opening to a deeper layer of Truth has been rewarding. At age 57, I’ve realized how much fear has fenced me in. I’ve heard that The Master said variations of “Fear Not” more than anything else. Honestly, your retelling of that time in your room with MOT brought tears to my eyes. Thank you. One last note, if I may. Along with MOT, it has also been the acceptance of reincarnation that broke the mold of traditional Catholicism of which I had been set within. There is too much evidence, particularly in the words of children, that has helped me see life and death with new eyes. I now place more value on the connections with others, and how I interact with them, including those I’ve connected with through space and time via technology. I’m excited to read what Nina has to say about the topic. The strange synchronicity that has taken place since finding MOT has now included your YT channel. If I may be so bold as to say that what you’re doing here is very important as I’m guessing, you are too humble to admit. Thank you so much for your warm words....the whole reason I do these videos is to connect with fellow seekers and to reach those people who are very likely working in near isolation, just as I was myself for many long years. During that time, which lasted almost 30 years, I was also so glad to see the lamps of fellow hermits shining along the way. I am still glad for it, although I am somewhat less isolated these days. As a born again Christian aged 21 I was a relatively blank slate, but some incredibly formative books came into my hands at that turning point in my life. One was The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, which I still believe is one of the greatest works of spiritual literature ever written. On so many occasions pages of that book literally manifested for me and others I came into contact with and I still give it as a gift to those I feel will respond to its beauty. Perhaps you know it already.... The second book was the seminal Prayer by Hans urs von Balthasar, which opens the door to the deepest mystical heart of catholicism, an aspect of the faith that is perhaps too often missed in the controversies associated with the institutional church. This in turn led me to the book that became 'the big one' - Meditations on the Tarot, by the Christian hermeticist, Valentin Tomberg. If you are going to read one work of occultism, I'd make it this one 🙂 Many of the other authors whose work I explore on this channel lead back to Meditations on the Tarot, including Nina Roudnikova, whose book, The Solar Way, I'm reading from here. Nina was Tomberg's initiatory when he was a young refugee in Estonia, with both of them having escaped the Red Terror in Russia. She, in turn, was a pupil of the legendary St Petersburg Magus, G.O. Mebes, whose Tarot Majors and Tarot Minors are incredible works that really help define the kabbalistic root of the Western Mystery Tradition. The other author I focus on is also a 'White Russian' refugee, Vladimir Shmakov, whose Holy Book of Thoth is an incredible work of metaphysical synthesis which attempts to harmonise kabbalah with Vedanta. This one is considerably more complex than the others, however, and I'm still trying to grasp it properly myself....

I would not hesitate to recommend her books either - especially The Armour of Light, The Magnet, and Ascension Exercises, but they are sadly very hard to come by. @@scherryvalentine9673 I don’t know her views on that, I only really engaged with her a quite long time ago when I discovered her as a Christian mystic. I then learned she was ostracised like Tomberg. I’m guessing many anthros, either for or against JVH, are against vaccines?
@scherryvalentine96735 ай бұрын
@@alchemicalweddings7489 Good morning, thank you for your response. I would not necessarily say that anthropops are against vaccines. Many of them took the Covid shot, no different than the human population at large in that regard. She was ostracized because her writings, some of them, were in direct conflict with Rudolf Steiner’s indications. I look at her separately from VT although they share the same ex communication. I think it is wise to view all things with fresh eyes without bias. I am only now allowing myself space to look into VT. I do not have a clear understanding yet of his work, but I never had the initial feeling of mistrust with him that I had when encountering the work of JvH. I have not looked deeply into her work either, to be honest. But I have no desire in my heart to do so, for whatever reason, I do not question my heart on this. I wish her no harm or ill will! And it concerns me that the AS would ostracize anyone who seems to be genuinely trying to strive toward truth, beauty, and goodness. We all lose our way and make mistakes. It doesn’t seem Christlike. They could have denounced her writing but loved her in spite of her writings and lectures. Same with VT, although in his case I am not sure what it is that they found inexcusable. Perhaps you know? Your interest in Esoteric Christianity has no doubt led you Christian RosenKreutz and Mani. Yes? I love them. I am looking to learn more about them. Have you done any work on these two individualities? Cheers, Scherry

I just received the book yesterday but it's also nice to hear you read from it. Sometimes when information is as complex as this it helps to receive it through two senses: through the visual (reading the book) and by sound hearing you reading from it.

Thank you for making contact, I'm very glad the readings are useful in some way. Similarly, I find that reading the work out loud helps me to absorb them in a new way, not least of all as I have to concentrate more. I love the Tarot Minors and feel very grateful to G.O.M., Nina Roudnikova, her friend Catarina and Nicholas Girs, who helped to rescue and preserve them from oblivion. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.

Hi Soror, by chance, do the Tarot Majors and Minors books derive from GOM’s encyclopedia? Or is the content from other lectures? Considering buying these two and the Solar way!
@alchemicalweddings74896 ай бұрын
Hello Frater, the Tarot Minors were part of the course taught to GOM's inner circle pupils, including Nina Roudnikova, author of The Solar Way. It was Nina who preserved GOM's original lecture notes before escaping Russia for Estonia and ultimately sending them to Brazil with a trusted friend. In South America, they eventually found their way to Chile, where another inner circle initiate of GOM, Nicholas Girs, had travelled to. Girs was a great Martinist teacher who founded lodges secretly in Europe and then Chile, where he was revered as a beloved Master. he taught the Tarot Minors course until his death, alongside the Majors. So, in answer to your question, yes, both the Tarot Majors and Tarot Minors books are translated directly from GOM's original work. If you end up reading both The Solar Way and the Minors, I believe you will notice a similarity of style, a certain lightness of touch and lucidity which is characteristic of Nina. This is in contrast with the very deep astral occultism and kabbalistic inclination of GOM, which characterise the Majors.

@@alchemicalweddings7489 thank you for detailed and insightful response. I ordered The Solar Way last night and am looking forward to it arriving tomorrow! Your description of GOM’s Encyclopedia is spot on, from my POV, definitely heavily kabbalistic, astral occultist. I read it last summer via some website where I basically translated every page, it was captivating but needless to say, took a lot of work… on various levels. Did you add footnotes, commentaries or other supplements to your translated versions of the encyclopedia? I’m considering reading up on it again but at a much slower pace. Thank you for your contributions. 🙏🏽

@@E_915 It is wonderful to meet a fellow traveller who was similarly drawn to read G.O.M's masterwork, which is no easy task by any estimation, whatever the language! That said, I did find that once you get used to his style and the idea of numerical 'deconstructions', it's like a gateway opens and the voice of the master starts to come through clearly. I found Arcanum XI (Force) in particular quite astonishing in its kabbalistic denouement of the Fall and feel that G.O.M. far surpasses the earlier French occultists in his understanding of kabbalah. Probably most other occultists before or since full stop. I did include some footnotes to each Arcana, mostly based upon Meditations on the Tarot, which is where my inspiration to discover G.O.M. came from in the first place. I found the similarities between the respective tarot works just as enlightening as the differences, fascinating in fact. As I got further into the Russian schools I felt as if each one of them - Tomberg, G.O.M, Roudnikova and Shmakov, each brought something very different and valuable to the overall corpus, whilst also constituting a unified whole - truly the Synthetic Philosophy! I hope you enjoy The Solar Way, which is a much lighter read than the others. Nina R is very important and in terms of occult work, serves as a bridge between the occultism of G.O.M. and the metaphysics of Shmakov. The latter really IS complicated. It was incredibly difficult to translate and also pretty difficult to understand, as I'm nowhere near as knowledgeable about Vedanta as I am about Kabbalah - and here I'm limited as well! I like to think of G.O.M. as being The Magician of the Group, Nina the High Priestess, Tomberg The Hermit and Shmakov The Fool, based on the relative emphasis/importance I think they give to these arcana respectively....

At times painstakingly reading a paragraph or even a sentence many many times, to even try to penetrate a semblance of understanding. However once becoming familiar with his style of communication it became super rewarding. I personally think it helped me rise to a higher level of understanding. What a titan.

Yeah we are more of a secret order than out fits like SOL and OTO. (Ot0 hides a nasty secret that everyone knows about!) I used to go to lectures at the Bath The Theosophical society and I think I heard Douglas Baker once. Nothing that great. Gareth Knight did some great path workings at Hawk wood that I got a lot out of back then. In America I think I went to a Roscicrucian lecture that was uneventful. Tomberg sounds great. No problems with the Ladies ? Women generally hated old Gray so he never got into trouble there. When he wrote his last book on the Mother Goddess one of my female friends commented What in the hell would he know about the Goddess! Thanks for your comments.

Yeah I think Timber and Pixley would find themselves of kindred spirit as important exponents of Christian hermeticsm or esotericsm. . . How was Tomberg as a teacher to work with. ? His work is of a high intellectual level and it would be much like trying to get a doctorate in this material. Gray and Knight were more down to earth and folksy in their approach. I trained myself in the Golden dawn approach back in my teens and early twenties. I did work in BOTA for a couple of years for Tarot study and a year or so in Mottas version of the A.A. did a lot of yoga and ceremonial magic there but I didn't like their arrogance. I spent a few years in the SOL program and a couple of years absorbing what I could from William Gray when I lived in England back in the eighties. .After that I worked for years on my own completely studying Alchemy and Celtic matters. The IAO was something I just stumbled across and was so glad I did! I'm learning a lot in a stage of life when many just retire from going any further. I just did some of the initial exercises in the first degree and were amazed how deep they took my contemplation..

Tomberg was, as you say, of a very high intellectual vibration and something of a genius with languages. He was appointed to leadership of the Estonian branch of the Anthroposphical Society in his mid thirties and by all accounts was a dazzling teacher. During his anthroposophical years he lectured widely, both in Estonia and elsewhere, in Germany, Holland also England, visiting the standing stones in north Wales where Steiner had also had such a wonderful experience. He was described by one attendee as being like a 'comet', who struck the audience like a shooting star and was an immensely engaging speaker. He was also popular with women, which tends to be a good indicator of a charismatic individual. Not only women, he attracted truly devoted friends throughout his life and I think we can assume he was a genuinely fascinating but also enigmatic character. He also had a very good sense of humour and worked extremely closely with his beloved wife, an aristocratic Russian woman who had been a student of Mebes and was his collaborator on MotT. The IAO seems to have done a fantastic job of attracting exactly the right people, without doing any sort of advertising! 🙂

Thanks for the comment Charlotte. It would be difficult to master Men's in all its complexities but I take from it what I can. Your video did inspire me to work a bit on a monograph I've been trying to write on alchemical and magical ritual or meditative forms. Its based mostly on the hieroglyphic Monad and Fludds Art of Pyramifs. Years ago Adam McLean published an early version of some of these forms in his Hermetic journal. . The source that inspired me at least wanted me to get the ideas out in some fotm. To day the least I didn't set the esoteric world on fire. These things worked for me personally and that might be the extent of their . But I am inspired to get the whole system of practices written down in an intelligible form instead of spread out over a pile of notebooks! I should have done this years ago but I'm a bit lazy.
@alchemicalweddings74898 ай бұрын
you are far from lazy in your personal practice, which is a lot more important! On the other hand, you have so much valuable experience and knowledge to share that it's very worth making a record if you can 🙂 I'm at a bit of an advantage with Mebes and co. as I studied Tomberg for so long, really to the exclusion of all other tarot teachings, so by the time I got to the rest of the Russian Templars it was second nature. You and Tom are far more immersed in the core Golden Dawn and Avalonian works, which are quite different when it comes to tarot but very complementary in other ways. Olive Pixley is a very important bridge for me in this respect and I did wonder, when visiting the site of her former home, whether her and the Tomberg family ever crossed paths, as they lived quite close together! I'm guessing not, which made me a bit sad as I'm certain they would have been a great solace and support to each other, in so many ways, as each had an abundant supply of what the other greatly needed....I hope they managed to make acquaintance in the world beyond the veil.

I haven't made it through the majors yet. I've been looking forward to the minors so overlooked in esoteric comment. Levis discussions of the first ten numbers and his Key to Solomon with the Shemhahphorash come the closest.

Hi Thomas! The Minors are much easier to get through and benefit from Nina Roudnikova's clear and concise style, also present in her own book, The Solar Way (she took notes as an inner circle student of G.O.M. and it's largely thanks to her the teaching was saved). When I first started reading the Majors I found them incredibly complicated, but when I got used to the format it was like a door opening that suddenly made sense. Obviously there is a high kabbalistic and Pythagorean underpinning to that work and G.O.M. himself was a mathematics professor, with a mystery name of the angel of mathematics, Butator. Interestingly, Vladimir Shmakov hailed G.O.M.'s work as essential but also described it as 'downright impossible', but Shmakov's own work is far more complex in my view!

I understand what you are asking here as I share the struggle and can be very hard on myself, judging myself far more harshly than I ever do other people - I think it might be a fairly common 'complex' amongst spiritual seekers and in itself I think is a form of pride on the one hand (ie, I'm so important than my every transgression is a seismic cosmic event) but also doubt/lack of confidence on the one hand, doubting that God can REALLY love us, despite our many flaws. Like me, you can probably rationalise your way out of it fairly well, but still have a lack of confidence in the self, even if you have abundant faith in almighty. Tomberg also writes of this immense challenge, of facing up to our fallen human condition, also speaking of the sense of shame we feel when confronted with the flaws and mistakes of our earthly incarnation. It is, in truth, a meeting with the threshold guardian and it can go on for a very long time! Tomberg always recommended prayer and I always think that praying for those less fortunate is a useful exercise at any time, no matter how we are feeling about ourselves. Olive Pixley's exercises are also very useful in this context as they are specifically geared towards strengthening the light body and auric shield. The golden cone of confidence and other exercises which utilise the 'peacock light' I think are particularly good. Gnostic teachings can be depressing, which is one of many reasons why I tend towards a more universal form of Christianity. I do believe in universal salvation and this is another reason to be less hard on the self, as it is logically ridiculous to think that EVERYONE except me (or you, or any individual) will be taken back to the heart of God and our divine spiritual homes! It is also well worth remembering that Jesus Christ was the ultimate scapegoat for humanity and even though we try to follow in His footsteps, we don't have to offer ourselves up as human sacrifices in the same way, as He did this once and for all, on behalf of the whole of humanity. I hope you are well my friend, it's good to hear from you! Cx

People are on the sidelines and don’t realize what they’re missing by rejecting Catholicism. It’s a Treasure beyond description once you open yourself to participate in the Traditional Church

I was (still am) devoted to St John Paul II and I've always had very strong catholic leanings, in the true spiritual sense of it being the Universal religion and, indeed, an incorporation of the perennial philosophy. I attend the High Church of England which in many respects is more traditionally catholic than the modern RC church. Tomberg wanted to unite the Churches of Peter (Catholic) and John (Rosocrucian), which is hope I share.

@@alchemicalweddings7489 I wish you the best on your journey. What I have personally found is that there is only One Church and it’s Jesus’s. It’s probably one of the hardest times in history to become Catholic for many reasons. The Church has been infiltrated however there are always individual churches that have a traditional Or high mass that you can find if you search. The Anglican Church does not have a valid Eucharist which is what people are missing. The Eucharist is real it’s is indeed supernatural and one won’t encounter that at a Protestant church no matter how it’s dressed up. Even at a novus ordo Catholic Church one will still encounter Christ’s body and blood To be United we can’t have our toes in two worlds we have to convert and be initiated into the Universal Church. We have to weave ourselves into the spiritual fabric of Christs Body and it’s not True and Whole outside the church. There are many misconceptions people have about Catholicism but it’s a mystery we can only understand if we fully participate Good luck on your journey

Dear Amanda, that is wonderful to hear, I'm so glad your dreams are fruitful, I've always found that to be one of the most interesting aspects of esoteric work and so helpful for deepening insights into the spiritual realm and how we fit into it. I have quite an active imagination and pulsing lights are quite significant in Olive Pixley's work, which is very much about light and breath, the 'ruach Elohim'. Funnily enough, one of the precursor exercises to the Peacock light involves visualising 'bulbs' of light beneath the armpits and in the hip sockets on an inbreath, which then become radiant orbs which expand into the chest and abdomen on an outbreath 🙂

From what I trad her inititions s just came to her when she was ready. Gray got his primary push on the battlefields in Normandy and he had a Martinist teacher that was also in AMORC. And Gray always said to us that his inners were Roscicrucian . This does suggest a German connection though. But Gray's focus was directly British and for the White race. These racialist views could suggest some kind of connection with those in Germany with similar views. His aspect of Gray was hardest to take when dealing with the man. His editors took out much of that stuff before the books went to press. In one way he used that stuff as a shock effect. If this put you off it was a good way to get rid of you. He and his wife were very kind to me when I was in England but I did eventually fall foul with him as many did. Alan Richardson seemed to stay on his good side longer than anyone.

I was intrigued by the connection between David Carstairs and OPs brother. You might have something there. I've been working on her exercises in the Magnet or the Ascension exercises. They are even odder than the second series of Armour of light exercises and I am taking them slowly and carefully only going to the next one when I feel inwardly moved. I think there have to go with building the resurrection body or even the Atma Body in the sense of Rudolph Steiner as they work on the body with breath and light. Is the sacred nature of the blood awakened as well? Gray had much to say about the Spirit of the Blood and how it connects us to the Melchezidek Mysteries and the Sacrificed One. Gray was an Esoteric Christian but didn't like to talk about this much preferring to take a kind of middle way between Paganism and Christianity. I'm working on the Chakra colors now in the Magnet and especially the solar plexus chakra. . It is a movement and a watching exercise.. The Peacock neck color seems important here. Hopefully an Alchemical reference and not a devilish one! Yeah she received the exercises from the Inner planes directly through her clairvoyance . She could see the various shapes suggested by the practices in peoples auras and such. Perhaps even inspiration from Christ is going on here. There is an apocalyptic side to her comments much like Jane Leade the Theosophist. A Pixley omnibus should be published with all six of her books in it. They are all rather short And she was a full initiate in the Hermetic and more importantly the Christian Mysteries.
@alchemicalweddings748910 ай бұрын
Hi Thomas, thank you so much for you thoughts on this as I've been wanting to talk to you about this for a while. In a nutshell, somebody asserted to me that both Gray and OP essentially got all their mystical information from a (living) master in Germany and others associated with his school, as opposed to receiving it directly from the spiritual world. This theory interested me very much because there IS an intuitive correlation between what OP teaches and what this German school teach, even though the particulars are very different. The German is focused on Hebrew letters for one thing, but the idea of breathwork and building a light body are very similar. I was unable to say much about OP as I only know what little I read in her books and about Gray I know very little, but I thought that YOU might be aware of a possible hidden source in Germany who greatly influenced him and OP? For instance, when you say she is a full initiate (which I entirely agree with), is this from purely spiritual initiations, which I would consider the most valid, or also from a mystery school or schools in England (eg DF) and/or Germany? Also do you consider that DF is essential Steiner-ish in her own initiation?
