I have to say, the sky-boxes in this game are among the most beautiful and best I've seen in any game, even modern ones. They never look like the literal boxes they are or like the devs tried to hide the seams, but actually realistic and endless.

Thats a place i could live forever at, it has everything i love, forests, mountains, beaches and water-river, falls, a lake. And the architecture is one of best of this game. There are other places i would like to live in at Lotro (in order): shire, Lone Lands, forochel (i love the Weathertop view), RIVENDELL,all of MORIA, Lothlorien, the Argonath, Fangorn,Norcrofts, Erebor, Dol Amroth and Minas Tirith (midsummer version specially).

The composer did a phenomenal job. Listening back to it now after not having played for over 10 years, I can appreciate even more knowing the different instruments used in this music. The use of certain kinds of guitars but also the Arabic oud really gives it such a strong rustic/wooden vibe to the sounds. The amount of detail that went into really immersing you into the experience is crazy

this brings me back to 2008, when I played vanilla lotro with my then girlfriend, now wife. Our first real mmo, it had some real magic to it. they nailed atmosphere and music in this game. what a great time it was!. we were both young, 22 and 19, Ive been in hobbington so many times late at night, like 2am after doing a rift run, then going to hobbington to cool down my mind before bed and while talking in ts with the fellowship about improvements we can make to our runs. Its a shame those times are over, adult life catched up eventually.. I miss these days sooo damn much, that I would trade 20 years of my lifetime and just reach 60, if I could go back and relive those years, with that mental state and that age again. it was a very special time for me where so many things just went hand in hand. I moved together with my GF, we both found joy in playing games together, we had no obligations, no pressure to start working, we basically had a year off and no forced bedtime or alarm clock in the mornig. and we both were still that youthfully naive. it was basically one year of summer holidays without the parents for us, and we did spend that year in middle earth and it was great!

Good stuff. I got this game at launch to help me get over the death of my brother. Ended up playing it for over 10 years. I have lots of good memories, the music is a huge part of it. If this game ever comes to consoles, i'll be playing again. I don't play anymore but i'll be listening to the music for the rest of my life.

@@RobertBoston-n4d Sad to hear about your brother, Iam sorry. We ended up stopping like 4 months after moria released. Moria change some major parts of the game compared to vanilla, which we didnt like as hardcore raiders. new content was slow to come and since we had a lot of time on our hands, we completed the addon rather fast and theres was nothing new to do, since the new armor and gear was easy and fast to get and besides the watcher, there was no new raid for a rift equivalent new raid armor on release. I dont think it will ever get a console release. On the other hand, i dont think i will ever go back. we tried to reengage with the game in 2011 with the saruman addon but it didnt hold us for long, since we got spoiled by others games we played, which made lotro feel old and schluggish
