Here after I fell like a dog, pulled my hammy, chased down my board while limp running, and using my longboard as a crutch to get home walking.

Bought this on clearance. Had to bail while riding my board at a freeway entrance. A car (sedan) ran over it (right in the middle of the board). Thanks to the flex of the deck it didn’t break and i continued my ride. Good quality board, thank God! Since it is less than a week old.

Surprisingly, my Randal R2's are my first set of trucks since 2011, and they still work well even today (after affixing the kingpin in the baseplate with epoxy).

What’s the point of flipping the hangers?

You're straight forward and unflinching in giving some basic instructions which are somewhat rare qualities in a skater. Usually, like with computers, most techs are hugger-mugger covetous of imparting knowledge. That , having been said ; I know these basic things. My question is : is graphite good with steel bearings with double sided shielding, and what is the best application procedure?🧐

What trucks?

Can’t find an answer to this anywhere. Trucks on a longboard face opposite directions. For tightening and loosening, is it both the same direction based on the orientation of the board, or is it base d on the orientation of the trucks?

For a beginner, should the trucks be tight? I've just come by a longboard and it looks almost new (stock wheels, with very little damge or sceatches to either wheels or boards). It feels great to just push off on and get used to balancing but when I see other longboard vids folks seem to beable to 'carve' their boards and make them turn, so just wondering if I should losen my trucks yet/when stilla newbie

The wheels look tiny.

I stick my toe out from the board, not super comfortable that I can keep balance with my entire leg off the board. And definitely not comfortable with sliding.

When you go to stand on a board how do you stop it from making the board fly out from underneath you?

I've discovered that if you put your side set wheels on backwards it actually slides way more but you need wider trucks to make it work and look better.

My neighborhood has a big straight street I live on, and then a huge hill where a lot do my friends live on. So I have to learn to bomb hills to unlock a new area.
