I am running the base bushings on both my 2008 civic si and my 2020 civic si and I will say that the shifter cable bushings are well more worth it for the shifting. The base bushings do help with the sloppiness

There's definitely a difference in it. That's what the butt Dyno is saying but we will leave it up to the real one to see the gains.

Hi, since it's been a while now since your install, how are you liking your catch can as I am thinking of getting one for my supercharged car? Thank you.
@westestmodified8645
@westestmodified8645 Жыл бұрын
It's not bad. Only a very basic setup but it does the job. Some people are using breather filters and some are using AN fittings from the rocker cover into much more expensive catch cans, but I wanted to try this setup first to see how well it works and in all honesty it was a way of controlling any oil mist from being pumped into the bay as the cans baffled and also to see what exactly is being vented. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps you in any set-up you're thinking of using.
@TheWarewolf79
@TheWarewolf79 Жыл бұрын
@@westestmodified8645 Thank you for your swift positive response...this catch can seems to be very popular and of good build quality...best thing about it is that it's fully sealed and has a proper inlet/outlet fitting size of 19mm (3/4 inch) just like factory size which helps vent/breathe better...So did you run the outlet from catch can back into intake later on, or you're still running this setup the way you initially ran it? If so, did you notice oil vapor/mist coming out of CC outlet splattering the engine? How's the smell inside cabin? Finally, did you notice any issue running it vented rather than sealed? Like vacuum change/high idle and was there any effect on power? Cheers buddy.

@westestmodified8645
@westestmodified8645 Жыл бұрын
It took the sloppiness out and gave it a more direct feel. Coupled with the Tegiwa shifter cable bushes it was so much better. Felt fresher and easier to change gear without struggling to find one. You would get a better click or notch by changing the detent springs.

How much did the kit and mapping cost you inc Labour?
@westestmodified8645
@westestmodified8645 2 жыл бұрын
The overall cost so far is near £4500. We did all the fitting. Only outsourced labour is mapping and the aluminium welding for the sump and IAT sensor boss. We fitted more extras than the original kit supplied by Tactical Racing.

Wat turbo you running and down pipe sit next to the brake lines mines going to matte but would like to piece of mind
@westestmodified8645
@westestmodified8645 2 жыл бұрын
The turbo is a Maxspeedingrods GT 3076. The down pipe is custom fabricated by AH Fabrications. The down pipe does sit very close to the brake pipes. I ended up pulling mine away from the exhaust more and heat wrapping the exhaust. and brake pipes.

@westestmodified8645
@westestmodified8645 2 жыл бұрын
I am indeed. Seems to be quite common to be able to run that sort of power on a standard clutch. It hasn't been far yet so we will see how well it holds up but it was a brand new clutch before the conversion. And if it doesn't work then we can swap it out.
