I know this video is 2 years old. Just wanted to say that it would have been very very much helpful if you could have actually put the names of the different styles of Italian glass that you butchered (lol) on the screen so that we could have it for identification. Just an FYI

I love collecting Carnival Glass been collecting for over 40 years. I found My first piece at a yard sale for only 25¢ while I was in highschool. Trying to fine tune My collecting now looking for old piece's. Is it true that the older piece's are thinner?

I bought a cornflower blue pot ffrom the 70's a few days ago at a thrift store, I regret it as I found out they have lead. Can you explain why it's so valuable if we can't cook with them due to the lead content? I don't know what to do with my pot and I can't return it.

Value comes from the buyers and if someone is willling to Pay outrageous prices that’s on them

@@66uniqueantiques As an antique store owner, can you tell me why antique stores put great stuff out on the floor, then mark it "Not For Sale"? The only affect is has for me is to not want to buy anything else because the item I really wanted is not for sale.

How do we make history cool? In your opinion what is interesting about history? I am trying to figure out how to sell it so we can survive well as a species. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on what and why something may be valuable. Nice to think there are enough people who it is important to to use old pictures and memorabilia in art and media but also broker these artifacts. We cant lose the connection (knowledge and experience) to the past or and when we do history repeats. The historical record keeping preservation which always when examined closely is like seeing into the future but only if you are very familiar with the past.

We make it cool by repurposing and keep showing people that they have value as well as purpose. Once youngers understand that it’s not all just dish sets and clear glasses antiques will survive and continue on

My grandma had an extensive (amazing) collection of Hens on nests. When she passed away her kids sold them at a garage sale....I was devastated to learn that they were gone, so I've spent the last 10 years searching and collecting to try and get my own collection.

Fabulous collection! Thank you for sharing. Curious: How do you anchor or stake your blow molds to the ground? So you have electrical recommendations? I am new to outside lights and displays. Thank you
@66uniqueantiques12 күн бұрын
We put them on fence posts, wooden dowels, pvc pipe. It’s an ongoing process on electrical usage for us. We usually find old blowmolds and reuse the lighting. Hope that helps

Another good place to shop is Pinky’s on Alpine in Grand Rapids. The profit goes to help people with dementia and their families. Pinky was a lady who had this awful disease. Although there are other shops with similar products I only shop at Pinky’s when I am on Alpine

Recently (in my quest for the perfect sourdough loaf), I tried using two cornflower blue 5x7 bakers I found while thrifting. Preheated them like I would my cast iron, loaded the dough, used the second baker like a lid. Wonder of wonders! Better than I expected! Wished I had discovered this years ago, but better late than never! 🤷🏻♀️

I started getting into broaches just so I can sell them and buy my physical media. Im in a rurual part of Canada and I always find turquoise broaches for around $25- $45 and they will sell for around $300-700 Depending on size and how nice the turquoise is and if theres other stones or gold/ platinum. Never pass over the broaches. Also that bowl of bracelets. If theres a nice bakelite piece it money. Rub the piece with your finger until it gets hot and smell it. If it smells like old warm computer chip its probably bakelite.

For furniture like a dresser you will find stickers and paint on antiques that would be worth 5-10X more without the blue or yellow paint.
