Loved 5th edition warhammer. Though the hatred rules always struck as so unfair. The Dark Elves and Dwarfs got rerolled to hit on the first turn and unmodified leadership 10 against their chosen opponents. I used to not play with it when I fielded dwarves against my friends orcs and it just felt ridiculously unbalanced.

@@rajpreetdhillon8084 yeah I agree the Hatred rules are pretty broken having come back to it and played 5th Ed a few times now with Hatred as a rule for one or both armies. But of a grind too

Yeah, honestly the game is much better with the rule removed completely. Even the toned down version in 6th edition was obscene when applied at an army level.

This video brought back so many good memories of my friends and I spending whole weekends playing battles on his kitchen table. I'm a fan of modern GW but this was the best time to be in the hobby IMO. Instantly subscribed.

Thanks for this one. It's a shame when things are so one sided but battles can be like that. I know from my own squat army that thudd guns can be very effective anti-personel weapons when you are lucky with the dice and assault squad squats are quite good in hand to hand. Keep the good stuff coming.

Yeah it was a shame but I think next time we can be better prepared. Paul just needs some more variety in his list too as he only has heavy weapon Squats atm

Very nice. I had a nice sized squat army for 2nd edition. All lead with the hard to find plastic arms waiting to be assembled and painted, but I parted ways with them to collect other things. I have a little regret, but I have such a massive pile of shame something had to go. I won’t be selling off my Squats for Epic tho!

Thank's for yet another awesome battle report!I love the old models sold all my modern 40k armies. I do however like to paint in different styles and Im pretty fed up copying the GW style from the 90's. It was how I learnt painting back in the day when I was a wee beardling. Same with terrain modern styles looks better to me, and Im not talking plywood tournament L's. This bright colors era with its funny terrain do have some sentimental value though. Cheers!

This really takes me back. I got addicted to Warhammer in 1993 with the 4th edition box set. I've been an Orc and goblin fan since. Lots of armies in between but I bleed green 💚

I agree but as someone who started laying when this look was the actual thing I can tell you it is really really hard to paint models this way. You can't cheat with washes and such things because it makes models look dirty. That ruins this bright look.

Wasn't one of those Nurgle Deathgalleys sunk by the Wolfships at 48:00 supposed to have warty scales that reinforced the hull? I don't think it should have taken the critical hit.
