Where do you get your purple kale from? I used to be able to get it from 2 last year and now no one has it. It is my absolute favorite - I don't understand why it's not more popular, the flavor is amazing compared to other kale varieties

I've been juicing for nearly 40 years and absolutely love my Nama J2. They do however suggest and I've found it to be best, that you put leafy or softer fruits and veggies in first. That would mean it best to put the pineapple in first and carrots last. Thanks for the video.

True! However, even though the greens were "on top" at first, they were eventually pushed down after adding more apples and pineapple 😀 The great thing about Nama juicers is that food order doesn't matter!

Great video. How big is your mason jar and how big is the juicer juice container that juice goes into?
@johnsonsinthemaking2 жыл бұрын
Sorry, just saw this! The mason jar holds around 32 ounces and the juicer juice contain is about 3x the size of the mason jar... I think?
@VisualizeHealing Жыл бұрын
The Nama holds 16 ounces at a time and then you can release sit into the pitcher which holds a little more than filling the bottom of the juicer twice so a bit more than 32 ounces.

I appreciate how you 'Hemingway'd' the explanation of it. Nicely done! I've heard that people fall into 1 of 2 categories: - totally turned off by it, comparable to smelling something rotting/decaying almost like meat that is about to 'turn', and/or garbage. -pleasantly surprised by the sweet combo of pineapple/mango/tropical goodness You're either 1 or the other. And, there's only 1 way to find out. I live in the Southern US (Houston, TX), so I only have direct access to a market in the area of town that is called "little Vietnam". Because it's much smaller than the area deemed as "China town", yet comparable in size to "Pinoy-ville": slang term (hopefully Not offensive, as it's not My term...just locally thrown around as a way to reference the 'southwest side' of the city - with Filipino restaurants and grocery stores)..where I go for chicken adobo and halo-halo 🤤yummm. So, since I didn't want to risk buying the whole fruit (priced at $4+/lb), I bought "durian pia cake". I am nervous and excited. (That's a lot to say about anticipating tasting a fruit.) Here goes nothin'!!! 🤞🏽😬

@@johnsonsinthemaking I went for it y'all!! I'm in the 'on the fence' part of the spectrum of durian lovers/haters. As, I haven't had the fruit in it's natural state, I'm left feeling like... Hmmmm? About it. It starts off sweet, yet peculiar. Then: chew, swallow, and more hmmm 🤔 I definitely was NOT disgusted, but the description of piling up a backyard bbq plate that includes fruits and macaroni salad..before they all leak into becoming "one with eachother", while you're still cool with eating it all. Yes. I get that now. I didn't think something could smell like a tropical fruit, with a hint of onion...in a good way. Pleasant surprise. Can't wait to try more in different forms.

What is my mind now is,Every video that react and taste durian is pretty weird.Because the durian is doesnt look like a durian! If you peel it ! the inside is different! Why the durian skin is so soft inside it? I dont know if the durian is too old or something.I cant understand,so please explain because the durian that i always eat is so delicious and fresh and also yummy but smelly (My dad dont eat it because he ate that smell" But I like it,Its just like the most heaven fruit that i ever taste.But seriously man,I cant understand.Why its look so different
@esoteric61786 жыл бұрын
They aren't grown in the U.S as far as I know and if they are the soil may not be conducive to producing tasty durian fruit. It's more likely these are shipped long distances and are older than what you are used to. Also very few stores carry them and there is almost zero quality control. There aren't enough people that care about Durian.

lol Taste like onion and garlic ? what the hell kind of taste buds you people got there in the US ? at worst it smells the same when you are in a gas station. but the taste is actually delicious. sometimes used in candies too ... if you dont taste anything sweet in it then you got the wrong durian.

Wow cant believe i have commented a year ago.. time flies by fast... well wrong person to ask for buddy idk how they can transport Durians to the US as Fresh ... maybe they grow them in south america ? idk... but there are a variety of durians out there some from the south east asia. some have a rubbery texture with no flavor at all and some have too strong flavour.. what we have in Davao City is sweet and tasty. though they would still smell like gasoline.

you should try the darker yellow durian they're sweeter, creamier and should have more wrinkle on the fruit kinda have that layer of 'skin' on it that covers the best part.. because the one you're eating are the 'bitter' one which is consider the bad grade durian or level one and obviously (should be) cheaper.. lol.. its hard to find the one you're looking for without opening the durian i suggest smelling the durian before buying it or you get cheated..
