Next Time If You Want To Use A Good Silicone Sealant, Then Use Victor Reinz. 1 Of The Best To Use I Used To Only Use Ultra Grey. Like The Crank Casings, You Only Apply A Thin Layer, Leave It For About 10 Minutes To Make A Skin, Then Assemble. If You Put To Excessive Sealant On, It Is Going To Push The Sealant Out Into The Engine. & You Don't Want That At All. I Myself Is A 2 Stroke Fanatic, & A Motor Vehicle Mechanic, From 1993 & Also Worked On My Own Motorcycles. You Also Mentioned The Yamaha RD350. Also A Powerful 2 Stroke. Some Will Think Why Do I Say Her Or She. I Always Used To Tell My Friend, If You Give Your Wife A Hard Time & Problems, She Is Always On Your Case, Moaning & Groaning, & Always Talking Back. But On A Motorcycle You Can Rev Her, Ride Her As Hard As You Want, Do Anything To Her, & She Will Never Talk Back.😀😁😅😂🤣 Allen, Ladysmith, KZN, South Africa 🇿🇦

Don't Know Your Name, But I Started Watching From Part 5, 7, 8, 9, & 10. Part 6 Never Came Up As I Swiped Up, To See If I See Part 6. So I Need To Watch Part 1, To Part 4 & Then Part 6. From Part 5 It Looked Like You Only Had A Few Things To Do Before She Was Finished. & In Part 7, You Had The Head Off On The 1 Cylinder To Replace A Leaking Head Gasket. & Then Again From Part 8, You Had Almost The Whole Engine Stipped Down To Pieces. Did You Hear Any Unknown Noises In The Engine, That Didn't Sound Right, & Was The Bike Battling To Start Due To Compression To Low. You Mentioned About Seals On The Crank Behind The Roller Bearings, That You Need To Change. Is That Why You Stipped The Engine Down To Pieces, Because Of The 2 Leaking Oil Seals On The Crankshaft. You Did Fit New Pistons & Rings, Because You Mentioned In Part 10, That You Are Riding Her In, & Not Over Revving Her Over 6000rpm. She Sounds So Beuatiful & Running So Smoothly. I Watched A Video On A Pepsi RGV500, That A Well Known MotoGp Champion Used To Ride. & This 1 Guy That Also Race Around Tracks, Had The Opportunity Of Riding This RGV500. & The Power Is Amazing, & The Sound Is Totalky Different From The RGV250. As He Opens The Throttle & Changing Gears, The Front Wheel Is Picking Up.That's How Much Torque The RGV500 Engine Puts Out On The Back Wheel. In My Opinion, I Would Say That The RGV250 & 500, Is 1 Of Thee Most, Powerful 2 Strokes Japan Ever Build. Allen, Ladysmith, KZN, South Africa, 🇿🇦

Hey Mark. I know it's been a couple of years since you produced these videos. I came across them when trying to do a bit of research. I'm going through the exact same process after my RGV has sat for years. I'm at the stage where I'm having a majority of the bike being either powder coated or Cerakoted(?). I'm not the most mechanically inclined person and have relied heavily on the owners manual and KZbin videos. The question I have for you is, with the bike completely in pieces, in what exact order would you start re-assembly? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated as taking the bike apart appears to be the easier of the rebuild process. Thanks in advance for your time and help!!

@@duaneacoba Hello. Best thing to do is get a rolling chassis together. It will make you feel like you are getting somewhere. You can then ad parts to it. If you watch all the parts of the build it will give you an idea of what to do.

Hi .. I’ve been watching your videos recently and I must say they are really informative and extremely useful. Can I ask one question as I’m in the middle of renovating my 4LO. Did you change the engine mounting bushes (top fronts and rears) ? I’d like to know how easy they are to replace, guessing some heat on the casing and carefully drift them out ?

Watched video on Tuesday 27 Aug 2024 at 11:50 am East Australian time. Thanks for posting. I’ve got a 2023 model Kawasaki Ninja 1000sx with a few mods such as Acrapovic exhaust system and just love the bike. Agree quick shifter could be a little smoother on the downshift. Thanks for posting your review 👍👍👍👍

Gday mate, I engineered my bike and lifted 2 expantion chambers under RGV m series tail complete with heat plate 2 Stingers exit the old rgv lights. Rgv m series mags with rear tire hugger and rgvm front nose and side pannels . Rgvm brakes and upside down forks. Fitted stronger mono shock. MoT certifying engineer said the bike had excellent mods to make bike handle and brake well, bringing bike to today's specs. Looks much like a ducati bi pesto 990. Through the oil injector into the rubbish bin imediately and pre mix. Piston 2 is famous for burning up from blocked injector to carrborator. Bush pig at low speed. But all hell breaks loose at 3000rpm. Hang on tight. Andrew Nz

You’ll want to look after the headstock bearings from wheelies-it will beat the bearing pocket oval and you’ll end up with a clicking feeling that can’t be cured by tightening the bearings on the steering stem. IMO this is a lot of the reason they tank slap.

Hello. I think I done about 5,000 miles on it. I did have one problem with it. it did not start and it said fuel pump fault on the dash. Took it to KTM and no codes. It just said battery low voltage. Put a new battery on it was ok for the rest of the time I had it. But only done about 1,000 more miles and got a Ducati. I don’t think it was a battery as it was turning over nice and quickly. Great bikes to ride and fantastic engines but they do have some electrical problems. But all bikes do.
