Hi @500limos5 I hope you are doing well! For washing your kitchen towels, use a hot water setting. Hot water helps kill bacteria and remove grease or food stains effectively. Select a heavy-duty or normal cycle for a thorough clean. I hope you have a great weekend!!

Thanks Diab Do you have any advice on how to clean and disinfect flannels used for personal care without harsh chemicals (preferably nontoxic). I find the 'warm wash’ ineffective for bacteria…

Hi Donna, I hope you are having a lovely day!! Donna Absolutely, I have some great tips for cleaning and disinfecting flannels without using harsh chemicals. Here’s a simple, non-toxic method you can try: 1. Pre-Treat with Vinegar: Soak your flannels in a mixture of hot water and white vinegar for about 30 minutes. Vinegar is a natural disinfectant that helps kill bacteria and break down any buildup. 2. Wash with Baking Soda: Add a half cup of baking soda to your washing machine. Baking soda is great for neutralizing odors and getting rid of stubborn stains. 3. Use Hot Water: Set your washing machine to the hottest water setting that the fabric can handle. Hot water helps kill bacteria more effectively. 4. Air Dry in the Sun: If possible, hang your flannels outside to dry in the sun. The sun’s UV rays are a natural disinfectant and can help to kill any remaining bacteria. By using vinegar and baking soda, you can keep your flannels fresh and clean without resorting to harsh chemicals. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions or need further advice.

Why do people like micro fiber?
@DiabsCleaningServicesPTYLTD
@DiabsCleaningServicesPTYLTD 2 ай бұрын
Hi @debras3806! Great question! the reason why I love microfiber cloths is because they are incredibly effective at cleaning. They can pick up dirt, dust, and even bacteria without the need for harsh chemicals. The tiny fibers in the cloth trap and hold particles better than traditional materials, making them perfect for various surfaces. Plus, they are reusable and durable, which makes them an eco-friendly option. By the way, what's your go-to choice when it comes to cleaning cloths? I'd love to hear what works best for you. Happy cleaning!

Storing them in separate bins and washing them separately is an excellent way to prevent cross-contamination and ensure your home stays clean and sanitary.

Great video. Is there a non-toxic natural alternative to the water repellent spray?
@DiabsCleaningServicesPTYLTD
@DiabsCleaningServicesPTYLTD 2 ай бұрын
Thank you, Donna Marie! Yes, there are non-toxic natural alternatives to commercial water repellent sprays. One effective option is to use a DIY solution made from natural ingredients. Here's a simple recipe you can try: DIY Non-Toxic Water Repellent Spray Ingredients: - 1 cup of water - 1 cup of white vinegar - 1 tablespoon of lemon oil (or any essential oil with antibacterial properties) Instructions: 1. Mix all the ingredients in a spray bottle. 2. Shake well before each use. 3. Spray the solution onto the surface you want to make water repellent. 4. Wipe with a clean cloth to spread the solution evenly. 5. Let it dry completely. This natural solution helps repel water and has antibacterial properties, making it a great non-toxic alternative. however, The effectiveness of DIY natural water repellent sprays can vary depending on the materials and specific use cases. While natural ingredients like vinegar and essential oils do have some water-repelling and antibacterial properties, they might not provide the same level of protection as commercial water repellent sprays designed with synthetic chemicals. If you try this method please let me know how it works for you! I hove you have a lovely day!!

Every time you wash microfiber, or polyester, or fleece, you are washing micro plastics into the water supply. They wind up in the oceans where they contribute to ocean warming, are ingested by every thing - even the seafood you eat. Microplastics are endocrine disruptors that cause health problems from cancer, to low sperm counts, to developmental problems. Please stick with cotton, linen, flax, wool. Maybe it’s not as convenient, but it’s better than cancer!

Hi @danbev8542, thank you for bringing up this important issue. You're absolutely right about the environmental impact of washing synthetic fabrics like microfiber, polyester, and fleece.
