Mount the straps and bolts from underneath, not on top.

I'm taking the engine out of my 72 Ford and need to move the tranny back a bit I never did something like this I am worried about the torque converter slipping out I'm only going back about maybe 4 inches

In our garage we have 1 and i am needing to make use uv it in conjunction with a tranz jack to lower a 2000Pontiak Sunfire plastik fuel tank all with jack stands and hydraulik jack. I have the same ratchet. A swap in shop find in the mid 70's. Didn't know what I had at the time until recently. Restored to mirror finish. Looks awesome.

I have an economy #4? I love it. Mine looks brand new. With hydraulics and the counter weight on there and your motor clutch arrangement is different. Mine weighs 400lbs. The motor clutch hangs on the opposite side of the blade and its huge.

I have that exact same ratchet in unrestored working condition, unfortunately I don't know the story behind mine. What surprised me is my snap on dealer had the parts to rebuild it in stock on his truck.
