This jack is dangerous 😬 A channel called farmcraft101 has a video titled Dump Truck Repair: Clutch, Transmission and Near disaster. Black Sheep Garage has a good video showing the issues with this jack. If you search harbor freight transmission jack fail in KZbin there's a few videos showing jack failures.

It worked fine for me everytime I used it. And I picked up some heavy stuff with it. I’ve since sold it though because I hadn’t used it in several years and needed the garage space

Mount the straps and bolts from underneath, not on top.

I'm taking the engine out of my 72 Ford and need to move the tranny back a bit I never did something like this I am worried about the torque converter slipping out I'm only going back about maybe 4 inches

Use a rubber strap with hooks to bolt holes on either side over torque converter

so much of this was out of focus, it was too annoying to watch, i flipped forward in 5 minute increments , but same fuzziness. - take the video off or get another 1/2" and remake it , checking the focus, this video reflects badly on your brand

*Great video! Watching it in the same breath! The buckle is cool! The jigsaw must be very difficult and time consuming, I would probably drill it out. I make about the same kind of buckles, but different technology and style ;-)*

I have the same ratchet. A swap in shop find in the mid 70's. Didn't know what I had at the time until recently. Restored to mirror finish. Looks awesome.

I've got Snap-On sockets from the '60's that I have found in customers' cars. That is a vintage ratchet. The newer ones are very similar. Same basic design. Use one every day.

I have an economy #4? I love it. Mine looks brand new. With hydraulics and the counter weight on there and your motor clutch arrangement is different. Mine weighs 400lbs. The motor clutch hangs on the opposite side of the blade and its huge.

Im and ASE Cert MASTER Tech, would not recommend this tranny jack its too big and cumbersome! If he is not a cert. technician or a experience mechanic then why is he doing a review about this tranny jack, leave it to the professionals!

I have that exact same ratchet in unrestored working condition, unfortunately I don't know the story behind mine. What surprised me is my snap on dealer had the parts to rebuild it in stock on his truck.
