I bought one, did the clutch in my 92 f150 4x4. with some work , blocks and a ratchet strap. it worked out OK. Lotsa slop in the table. I didn't separate the transfer case.

it would be pretty cool if you would do reviews on the harbor freight tool...especially the stuff you recommend buying.

Great Review! If it can handle that horse of a transmission, I know it can handle my 4L80E.

2K for an install. Since i'm retired, I think ill give it a try haha. Harbor Freight, just don't use their safety equipment aka jackstands.

Nice video review in action, looking to take down my xterra 2001 transmission, but was not sure about this jack. Never worked on transmissions before but I read and watch some video clips about it, any advise in taking it down or lifting the truck?

Hi, thanks for the video. It was very helpful. Where did you get the ratchet strap? Can you give me the exact product information for that? Thanks.

I'm taking the engine out of my 72 Ford and need to move the tranny back a bit I never did something like this I am worried about the torque converter slipping out I'm only going back about maybe 4 inches
@vanstechcorral10 ай бұрын
Use a rubber strap with hooks to bolt holes on either side over torque converter

7:43 Actually, you can beat that price. Next time use the 20% off coupon on your smartphone or in their ad and get it for right around $130 and some change. ;)

They don't let you use those on the big items anymore

ALL8UP I just bought this same transmission jack and used the code on my phone today. Don't know - but it worked for me....
@PimpMyPc896 жыл бұрын
20% off says no floorjacks, but transmission jacks aren't floor jacks per the coupon.

Mount the straps and bolts from underneath, not on top.

This jack is dangerous 😬 A channel called farmcraft101 has a video titled Dump Truck Repair: Clutch, Transmission and Near disaster. Black Sheep Garage has a good video showing the issues with this jack. If you search harbor freight transmission jack fail in KZbin there's a few videos showing jack failures.

It worked fine for me everytime I used it. And I picked up some heavy stuff with it. I’ve since sold it though because I hadn’t used it in several years and needed the garage space

Your not installing the chain properly it works fine for what it's worth

Im and ASE Cert MASTER Tech, would not recommend this tranny jack its too big and cumbersome! If he is not a cert. technician or a experience mechanic then why is he doing a review about this tranny jack, leave it to the professionals!
