I've been changing programs constantly but I've yet to find a brush set that feels just right for me.

Awesome video! Thank for it Question: At 1:06 and forwards, when you start "sculpting", which kind of brushes are you using? I see you jumping around color and size but I'm not sure which kind of brush that is Also, what kind of brushes do you use in the other steps?
@digitalmagicianАй бұрын
Majority of the painting is done with the default hard round brush from Photoshop with pressure opacity turned on. For softening/blending, the soft round brush is used and at the end i use some streaky brushes for the hair and a speckle texture brush for texture on the skin. I did a video about which brushes I like to use and how I use them, you can watch it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5u6XquYnp6hqLMsi=6lD7QIyeDlKVDWPU

i can't seem to figure out why every "how to paint skin" video is just "how to paint a face". like is "how to paint faces" not a more accurate title for the video? does it do worse with the algorithm? i don't know.

Best painting tutorial out here! It's my first time with digital drawing and painting, and I have no idea on how to paint something without actually covering the linings of the drawing and it's driving me insane. How do I do that? I tried every parameter of the brushes setting but I have NO IDEA, I tried lowering hardness but it's not what I want, I tried lowering opacity, but that way each stroke leaves a different "layer", so that if I stroke twice on the same spot the colour adds up and gets darker, and I don't want that. ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE!

I know theoretically that I got to do the right versions but my skill level be doing all the wrongs especially the black shading like why when I see a shadow my brain be like PITCH black to gray to suddenly lighter skin like what??? The struggle is real :D Thank you for this video it is very helpful too see the mistakes and what to do when spotted <3
@digitalmagician2 ай бұрын
Haha yeah it’s one thing to understand it theoretically but to actually apply it is the challenging part, eventually it just clicks though and it becomes second nature. Glad you found the vid helpful 😊

Was hesitant to click on this video everytime i saw it because the art isn't the art style i am going for but its actually really good! Like it doesn't show how to color skin in ur artstyle but rather tips and fundamentals that can be applied to any artstyle, thanks a lot!

Draw in high res, always save as 1000 by 1000. Also sketch without stabilization, just do line art with 100 stabilization, do not overthink it, that easy.
