Honestly makes me laugh - we all think musicians today are fake nice, but in our time every musician was fake disaffected and shy. This is such an interview of its time. Andrew Eldritch doesn't come from anywhere because is dad was in the airforce. Nice move. I think the first examples of the shy, disaffected intellect interviews were by Brian Jones and Mick Jagger - it was so gratifying and disruptive to see rockstars being classy and unassuming to a mildly salivating press.

love your video. Thats was the trip of a lifetime! I'm always interested in videos where guys are road-tripping muscle cars, especially Challengers. You took the car through some very interesting terrain especially the Utah desert. How did the car perform?
@66PaleRider7 ай бұрын
SixPack carbs were configured for the Netherlands, so at high altitude it didn't run super smooth (but good enough). Aluminum radiator, fanshroud and oil cooler kept the temp under control in Californian heat, except for one day near Isabella Lake, where I parked the car in the shade waiting for a cooler moment to continu the trip.

@@66PaleRider Very cool! Have you completed any other upgrades to the car since you made the trip? I put a Tremec 5-speed in my 70 Challenger convertible and wilwood disc brakes. Both were amazing upgrades. A/C is next!

I replaced the SixPack with a MSD Atomic EFI. All the upgrades I've done before the trip are listed here: kzbin.info/aero/PLB4305E29BD936BDF

The car can best be tested at top speed on a closed circuit race track preferably a huge oval track. Loved the roaring of the engine. We never really got to see the max speed.

How do people view American muscle car era cars in Deutschland, and how does it feel going at the NASCAR speeds it was designed for?

This is a terrific video. No music, just great diving and the sound of a classic muscle car on the open road.
