2011 nissan rogue vibrations when accelerating turning left n right shop said its nothing mechanical its the motor

2016 Rogue, 50K, 8y. I noticed the vibration at 30K, by 50K the air duct and the air filter box began to cause rattling noise when idle at stops. The engine mounts don't seem to show any severe wear.

Cual era el problema ?

I have a 2013 Rogue and had a similar issue, it seems like the best corrective action is to find a nice brick wall and crash into it. The Rogue is a POS.

Had bad vibrations coming from the front right of the rogue every time I would accelerate and bake. It was a warped rotor and bad engine mounts

I have a 2009 nissan rogie and the problem for my bibration was a cracked bracket that holds the cvs in place .its called the carrier bearing and bracket it is all 1 unit.hope this helps someone else

I have a 2009 nissan rogue and mine did the same thing and i have found the problem for mine .it is the carrier bearing bracket that holds the 2 front cvs in place .it had a crack in it and as i drove it and it heated up the crack would sepperate even more and make it have the death wobble on it. I replaced the carrier bearing and bracket as it is 1 unit .and my problem is fixed i truely hope this helps someone else

Looks like everything is shaking above the subframe so bushing and mounts attached to the subframe are prolly bad.

Just changed CV-axels and removed the kardan. Problem solved, I thaught. The problem got WAY WORSE. No I cant even use the car at all it's shaking so horrobly. Wtf's going on. Im so mad I could explode.. Before it was drivable in 4WD but way worse i 2WD. So I thaugt it was the CV axels but the old axels actualy turned out to be in very good shape.. That's when I got really worried. But I went on changeing them thinking it could not get worse and I would know they are perfect. Now the quest goes on😪

You have an awd, that shouldnt be running while when all 4 tires are not on the ground.

Shop owner here. You can’t run Nissan Rouges on a lift with the wheels hanging like that. They will all bounce and vibrate due to the axle angles being too steep and causing the inner CV joint to bind. This is not a good way to diagnose your problem. I’m sure you have a legitimate problem but this test is inaccurate.

Hello everyone. I wanted to comment on this one. I have a 2010 Rogue that was just purchased and has the same issue. After being told it is the mounts and then the transmission, i decided to take it to a friends shop to look at it myself. We diagnosed that both front control arms were bad for sure and also the axles. when spinning the tires by hand on the passenger side it would happen in the same spot. We figured it was the axles fighting each other internally or the trans. I want to report that the axle fixed my issue as well as the broken control arms. i hope this helps with further diag work on your cars.

So ....are you trying to make a point ? Are you planning to educate us all and tell us what causes that shacking or are you just wasting our time ?

Was there any service engine light associated with this?

Why you keep on stopping only the left wheel? Try the right wheel too and see if the vibration gets less. As the saying goes: There is no substitution for intelligence 😂

Who gets the awd lock but doesn’t turn off causing the rogue to shake?

I have the same exact noise on a 2012 Nissan Rogue I change cv axle and the noise doesn’t stop stay away from Rogue ,this car will also suddenly stop and then it will engage awd to un break tires

Replace both CV joints and all motormounts... should be good as new

It's the passenger side CV joint / Axel. One of the CV bearings has slipped oout of groove causing it to push the Axel on rotation. Replace CV axel. Had this happen on a little beater car I had and caused this exact issue.

My low end luggy vibration disappeared with fresh spark plugs. Runs way better. Nissan suggest changing at 80 to 100k which is crazy. Do it at 50k with oem plugs that are pre gapped ngk laser irridium . Very easy to do by yourself. 08 rogue

Replace the motor mounts and driver side axle shaft.

If u lift the vehicle and spin the wheel, on afew cars is normal the vehicle shakes for axle angle,if your vehicle is awd check the drive shaft ,to many times are the u joins and it shakes on 30 and 40mph

Replace cv axle.

Soooo, what was the outcome of this, I have the same issue major vibration under power /;had due to a bad CVT . Funissan how did you ended u dealing with the problem? did Nissan take care of you,,,

hello Funissan, I know these videos are old, but have you been able to isolate the vibration to a specific lolocation, while using a Mechanics Stethoscope, or some other device, that pin-points the location of the vibration? I'd be interested to know, my sisters Rogue 2008, had it's entire Transaxle transmission replace, a couple of years ago, like 2, under warranty. It has a slight vibration when accelerating, from a stop. Don't think it's tires, she had them replaced recently, it has new lower control arms, and tie rod ends. It's not a violent shudder, or a severe NVH (Noise, vibration, and harshness), but it is noticeable. I'm just curious, overall, it seems to be a decent vehicle. imo Thanks for posting. 🤘🏽

I had the same thing when working on a Toyota sienna. Axle shaft was Bent..

As i drive my nissan up on ramps i would hear a loud vibration until i put my car on ramps then sound fades away sounds like its coming from the center like cataletic converter or a torque converter i been having hestitation on take offs

CV half-shaft is bad. That noise is typical for front wheel drive cars with high mileage. If you turn left, a bad right CV shaft will get noisier, turn right, vise versa for the left shaft if it's bad. They aren't too difficult to replace. A lot easier if you can get the car in the air.

Nissan uses the worst CVT transmission on the market. You have to realize the car manufacturers do not build the transmissions. Nissan uses a CVT transmission by a company called JATCO and if you ask any professional mechanic they are all in agreement that this is the worst CVT transmission on the planet. Toyota on the other hand uses the best CVT transmission. I can’t remember who makes their‘s but it is not JATCO. Look it up and you can do your own research. JATCO is the worst and this is what Nissan puts in all of their unibody cars. By the way if you’re driving a Nissan chances are it is a unibody CVT transmission car. Unless it’s a body on frame truck, it is using a Jatco CVT transmission. Funny thing is I made this same post recently and it was mysteriously taken down. Trust me Nissan is aware of the problem. I’ve had my own problems with a NV 200 Nissan van with a shitty CVT and even the dealership admitted that it is the worst transmission ever made. They still have not been able to fix it while it’s under warranty. I guarantee you once the warranty runs out they’ll be able to fix it for $6000 by replacing it with the same defective transmission. I personally did not buy this vehicle my company did. I will never buy a Nissan vehicle because of this issue and the way they handle the situation. Just buy a Honda or a Toyota and be done with it. You might pay a little more money upfront but you will save big-time in the long run

Why would you buy a Renault/Nissan to begin with? Renault even has NOOOOOO in its name RENAULT is pronounced renooooo. Do your research on Renault, I promise if you do you will never buy a Nissan product produced after the merger

It’s totally not normal guys. Go drive a Toyota with the CVT transmission and see if it has the same problem. I promise you it will not. Ever since Nissan merged with Renault they have become shit. Think about it guys do you know anything about Renault?? They have always been a shit company and why do you think they don’t sell cars in North America? That’s amazing that they compared a 2009 rogue with another 2009 rogue. Well no shit it’s gonna ride the same because they’re the same age and have the same defect. It says no recommended repair at this time. But once it’s out of fucking warranty I guarantee you they will recommend a $6000 repair. Do not let them get away with this. This is why Nissan will be pulling out of North America because they don’t stand behind their product or their customers. CVT transmissions are pretty horrible to begin with but Nissan uses the worst one on the market and they are plagued with problems.

For all of you guys asking if Nissan has resolved the problem, the answer is no. The problem is that Nissan uses the worst CVT transmission ever built. I can’t remember who makes the transmission for them but I do know it is the least reliable CVT transmission on the market. Toyota happens to use the best CVT transmission. You have to understand that the car makers do not build these transmissions. They are built by another manufacturer and Nissan unfortunately Use is the worst one. I have a Nissan NV 200 with the CVT and it shutters under hard acceleration. I’m still fighting with the dealer to get it resolved under warranty.. The most important thing is to not let these assholes get away with it. It is not normal by any stretch of the imagination and you have to fight until you get it resolved. Unfortunately even best case scenario is to replace the shitty transmission with another shitty transmission. But at least if you get it done under warranty you’ll get some more miles out of the car. My advice would be to make sure they fix it under warranty and then sell the car and never buy another Nissan

I have a 2013 sentra i have a intermitent vibration on the steering wheel at certain speeds i think when you have your radio turned off when the cvt engages it reminds me of a sewing machine

This is such an easy cheap fix, For them to give you the run around for something as simple as a defective support bearing and refusing to acknowledge it is insanely poor customer service..

I have a Rogue 2017 and I have the same kind of problem. Almost 5 times to the dealer shop and they are unable to reproduce the problem.

I have a 2017 Rogue SV with 30k miles (long commute). It runs well, no issues. I have not been back to the dealer since purchase. It's no luxury vehicle, but It only costs 20k USD for the SV unless you're stupid and pay sticker. Yes, the CVT is a little rough, but even the slightest research before purchasing would have informed you of this. If you buy a Rogue, you are getting one of or the most affordable in it's class. Again, I am not referring to sticker, I am referring to the out the door price. Buy the more expensive RAV4, and you will find out it too has it's own issues. My Rav4 got me to 100k miles, and then I traded it in for a Rogue. I will trade in the Rogue for another vehicle at 100k miles. I have yet to drive the perfect everyday driver, but all of them have made it to 100k with proper maintenance. I will say that any car put up on the lift like that will shake. The vehicle was designed to be stabilized by the ground, like all vehicles. They are not designed to drive on a lift.
