I think it is supposed to go on a little bit long for those parts... as a metaphor for the fatigue suffered from the oversexualisation of young white women can be to people who are not attracted to, or cannot relate to, that archetype. The part where it becomes a little overrun could be a good time to glaze over slightly and reflect on this while listening to the boppin' sound track. Just how I perceived the film. Prepared to be wrong here.
