@@UdumbaraMusic i know I already responded to you but I think Duke Nukem was more tongue in cheek mockery of those 80s action heroes but idk I agree with the other person replying. The writers seem to be trying too hard to be quirky and now I think about it, maybe the irony is these characters are so wacky and self-deprecating to the point they're a satirical depiction of the writers behind the characters

@@UdumbaraMusic To be fair I tried playing the demo of the first one and the framerate was an absolute mess. Binned the demo. Played a little bit of the 2nd but never noticed the improvements and wasn't a fan of the dialogue so I never bothered with that.

Zombie games and anything Zombie related sucks ass. To me it's not much different to an arbitrary, slightly suspicious obsession with rotten fish, or "torture simulators" (although some horror fulfils that role). Basically it's completely one-note, dull, undeserved, rather arbitrary and of course off-putting.
