Very useful video, thanks! My problem was very simple - the cable had dropped out of the back of the antenna! I don’t know if there’s meant to be a clip but there wasn’t and the plug was very loose so it’s now wrapped with tape to keep it in. Working fine, total cost £0.

Took me a while to realise that the motor was up in the white plastic housing. Also three pathetic 5mm head screws holding it in. Cleaned mine but brushes knackard and look tricky to replace. Got new blower from eBay £28. Thanks for your help tho👍👍

Hi, I've changed my heater resistor and thermostat, be cause I was only getting heat when I drive along, could this be the solution to that problem? I have a bipper. I have sufficient coolant, but it doesn't even blow cold whilst idling. Thanks, Dan

@peteledwidge3631 that was my thought, as when it's idling at temperature, it's not feeding back in to reservoir, unless I pumped it by squeezing the pipe. But I think changing the water pump may be beyond me..

@@cdmChase1 No, a thin wire will burn through harmlessly in the event of a mis connect, a thick wire would be very harmful to you.

Hi I have a 2016 fiat fiorino it turns over but does not start on the key however if I bump start it it starts up and stays on which makes me thinks it’s not an immobiliser issue as it would cut off then if that was the case ? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated thanks .

So if my motor is covered/attached to an inner panel of metal & I dont own an impact/drill to disconnect the panel from the exterior metal panel and the power cables go straight to the motor which connector I cannot access due to the metal panel in the way? Im just screwed, arent I?

@@peytonlouise5893 what car is that? VW golf where you take the door skin off? You shouldn't need an impact to remove anything on a door. A ratchet and correct sized socket should suffice. 👍

I'd suggest it will, If you work out the electrics, they do work exactly as instructed. Try again.

The problem I have is it turns over. Battery is fine. Cranks starts then stops. Apparently the phob is fine. Opens all doors etc. the spare key (without a phob) also starts the car but stops immediately.

I own a Citroen nemo van, Had the same problem seemed to have fixed it but still doing the fault but doing it more in the cold when the temperature drops and if the van isn’t used for a couple of days. It’s very temperamental Any suggestions???

Test the vans battery in the first instance, mine did it before a battery replacement also.

Had the same problem, however I did exactly what you showed and no luck, turned out there was a issue with the key and I had it reprogrammed for £75 and it started first turn, at least the black ring is really clean now and should last longer!!!!

I'm pretty sure mine is doing this after 137,000mi - but no change on clutch depression as of yet. My clutch slips a little, so I'm hoping it isn't my shaft bearings and is wear and tear on clutch/dmf; is there a way to tell the difference?

Input shaft bearings will usually cause drivability concerns, and very disconcerting noises. Those noises, in my experience, are less predictable and seem to come and go, depending on load, where as DMF rattle is constant and pretty much as per the video. I'd imagine it likely is DMF related at your mileage. Hope that helps. 👍

I know this has been on KZbin for a while so, I am clutching at straws here, what is the tool required to take off the 5 screws to allow access to the ring thing that has to be cleaned??? I have tried numerous screw driver tips, hex keys etc etc and nowt have worked!!! Can you tell me EXACTLY what tool I need????? Thanks.

Torx screw, T20 or T25, if memory serves. You can buy a pack of torx screwdrivers for very little money. 👍

Hi Pete, excellent video. Is there any chance you can give me the measurements from centre of pin to centre of other pin and from bottom edge to centre of pin? I need to make this before I take the car apart and don't have a spare sprocket. Many thanks

54mm exactly to the outside of the pins, pins are 9mm, so mark the 54, then measure in 4.5mm each side for your drill marks. Bottom of pin 5mm from the deck, and pin depth no more than 10mm. 👊

Hi Pete, Thank you for your good solution, i've MINI 2009 with same engine on the video and we've repaired valve cover and engine rockers, springs etc. and now we get error 285C message from diagnostic tools and it says valvetronic motor position error. What will we need to do do you have any comments?

From memory, there's a reset screw in the rear of the motor (It's either hex or torx head). Turn that until it meets a stop end. Switch on the ignition and it should reset.

Does anyone know can this ecu speeduino any vers run a inline 4 cylinder PSA TU5jp4 engine in sequential order. Cause therese a trick to this particular engine. There is not any camshaft position sensor for this and the OEM ecu uses special coil pack to run this engine sequentiall ignition . But i do wanna get an after market one

i can get the RPM from just one tooth on a single crank sensor, but to implement that into the speduino code? naw. i have gone through teh code countless times, i just cant find any reference to timers or pins associated with teh cranksignal side of things. im not using any of the listed methods. its easier for me to just keep going with my own lil ECU, actually.
