5-10 years at the regionals used to be the norm, and they used to pay half what they do now. The whole direct into frontier thing isn’t going to happen for the majority. They’ve had their F9 cadet program closed since feb. The fastest way to United would be any way to build 121/TPIC time as fast as possible. 2-3 years at a regional and direct to UA would be an optimal timeline. I finished ATP last year and currently time building. SkyWest and Republic are only options rn. Hoping it gets better.

I read it in 5 hours and it’s one of my favorite books. If you haven’t read the extra chapter ( the epilogue) i definitely recommend doing that. It will make you question so many things

I just passed my check ride this last Friday and have already had the opportunity to fly my family around. Paying out of pocket was tough as I spent way more than I had originally planned.

UAA fosters a culture of intimidation. Many students have been let go after speaking out or complaining to hire-ups for vague reasons, and therefore students currently at the school are too scared to speak out. School management constantly has all eyes and ears open for any sign of dissent or criticism and is looking over everyone’s shoulder.

Glad I waited. You would have been in the same spot of your training had you’ve gone to UAA and had a better path. I went to a 61 after waiting but went so slow decide to wait for class date. So glad I waited. Ive heard a lot of bad things but once I got there turned out to be a great place to realize my dream. I’ve learned so much more and flown so much more than I did at my 61. But you got to do what you got to do. Seems you don’t want to give up on your side hustles. Im so immersed in aviation I don’t even have time to make videos anymore. Personally, I think the side stuff is costing you more in the long run. Opportunity cost. Every month extra month is your seniority and maybe about 50k a month on the backend of your career while you’re trying to make a couple of thousand a month on the front end.

ATP is absolute garbage!! Total waste of $$$$$ and time... ATP and flight school in general is the worst decision I have ever made!! They conveniently forgot to mention that they have like a 90% drop out rate. All this after they get THOUSANDS of dollars out of you! FUCK ATP AND FUUUUUCK DUMBASS FLIGHT SCHOOL!!

Yeah, you are definitely right, I did not know what to feel when book is ended. This type of shock after astonishing story is a breathtaking one. Obviously, I got food for thoughts after that book. I was listening this book in the audiobook format, so it was incredible due to the distinct voices for every character and pauses between reading that manuscript. It is a fascinating book, a definitely 5-star rating. I do not ask about something more in the plot or characters. However, I was not sure about what I feel about Jeremy when I realized that he was ready to choke Verity earlier before Low visited them, and he was the one who arranged that car accident. I see it is unhealthy. Apart from that, the twist with Verity writing from evil's perspective in her own diary, oh, it was superior. I could not believe it, additionally, when I figured out the big picture, Verity was the one who was suffering the most because of her husband's mistake around that exercise of writing from evil's point of view. It was wicked and unbelievable.

This is not a personal attack...just an observation of how screwed up the education system is. You graduate college with a degree in biological science and go into serious debt (like lots of college students). You then work multiple jobs not pertaining to your major to make ends meet to pay off the massive debt from this school, which I commend you! You then start a retail business not related to that expensive degree. Why go to college in the first place? The demand of getting your ATP gets costly and time consuming as you know. Eventually you will have to decide which is more important, the business or the pilot career or else it will take you 15 years to get the hours needed. I have owned multiple businesses, and they don't run themselves, especially if you have employees. A absent owner will tank a business. An employee will never have the same investment as the owner. I never went to college. I went to a trade school (no debt) and have done very well over the years, but I have made many mistakes both personally and financially. I have 4 kids and one is a commercial pilot (Fed ex). I wish you the best of luck in your future! Hurry up because if you ever decide to ever have a family it makes it impossible to chase that dream!
