To be fair, ive had fish straight up miss my lure, or not hook up even with treble hooks. Ive caught fish on the big buzz plug. A few decent pike. I feel like pike are big enough to just take the whole lure and hook up easy. Im sure a bucket mouth would do it as well.

My first injection mold hasn't even arrived yet, but I was thinking about how to set up a coreshot in the ripper mold. Wonder if anyone has made a video of ...bingo. Your video answered a couple of the questions rattling around in my brain...thanks.

Try a start and stop retrieve. Reel for a few feet, stop, twitch your rod tip reel a little more and repeat the process. It's a great lure here in Florida using that retrieve.

If you put the jig head in the crawler to make weedless that how I do it slip the jig in side the hole in the crawler and poke the line tie out of the crawl and the hook will be skin hook nice weedless. Very easy to do with Z Man craw bug.

anyone else have a problem with these landing upside down half the time? also it seems like a more subsurface lure it sinks as you pop it but i do love the action underwater it absolutely does not sink at all when it’s on its back i guess it’s the hook but i would like to not waste half my casts with it landing wrong like a coin toss

Thanks for this post. I had been thinking about an umbrella rig for my wife’s kayak. When I saw your video, I knew exactly what I needed to do. Thanks for the inspiration. I went and got the pipe and fittings and came directly home and put it together. Works like a charm.

WD-40 is 10% oil and 89% mineral spirits 1% non freeze in it and does nothing to plastic. It is not break cleaner with Lacquer thinner. Just saying my grandfather to me has used WD-40 for to long. I've been using Zebco momo lines for I've years no problem for me. My dad used Stran line.

Did you give the OEM bearings a fair shake? Meaning a deep cleaning and a drop of oil? I think you'd be pleasantly surprised by the results. Out of the box, many manufacturers either use a light grease or too much oil in the bearings. They come from a mass produced environment where speed in production is the motive and not the end performance. Comparing a brand new clean bearing with your own lubricant applied versus a factory pre-lubricated bearing isn't a fair comparison. Level the playing field; clean both, oil both, and repeat the test. Otherwise this is just a video meant to sell product with results that only appear valid to the uninitiated.

I been ‘removing’ turtles with only Ruger 10/22, and has become a real fun hobby, and good target practice! We’ve got a pond that gets overpopulated with turtles every couple years. My grandpa used to just set a big trap (cage), bring it up, and cull em all right then and there with a shotgun. But I’ve never been a fan of setting traps, hooks (i don’t like to fish either), or generally any practice that makes it TOO easy to kill, without giving the animal a _chance_ to escape, whether from my poor aim, or their (surprisingly) clever evasion of me. So instead of trapping, take a couple pot shots from 50-100 yards with the 22, and stop if I get more than 1 or 2 turtles in a day. Turtle population stays under control without what feels like a “slaughter”. Also, its interesting to see the dumb ones being first to go, while some more clever turtles can apparently recognize me, the gun, my patterns, line-of-sight, and are pretty damn good at evading me, and acting like they’ve learned to run as soon as I rack the bolt! Darwin sorts out which turtles get to live, and I’m happy for the smart ones to live another day! They’ve literally made me genuinely question if (some) turtles are secretly geniuses! Grandpa asked, “how many turtles you get today”, and had to admit, “None! They’re starting to outsmart me!” Haha😂

Listen, I get it. Nonetheless, who keeps their bait in the original bags? It is just plain out of congruence with the way of a fisherman on the go and needing to consolidate space and access. I am not one to carry a ton of bags around because I carry a lot of gear on my Kayak and need to be as streamlined as possible. I ordered quite. bit of Zman product in response to a few reviews and wanting to explore some new bait options. Yep, it happened to me too. I was shocked, thought at first a melt but then my inquiring mind saw something that just did not make sense. Now, I do not carry cheap gear, I have an entire set up of buzbee boxes and the Zman bait HATE buzbee from a deterioration and morphing perspective. I work in medicine, run a medical practice, so I'm keen to science, understand it well, enjoy practicing medicine etc....I am actually more intrigued and appreciative of Zman now that I realize they have put a ton of research into their product. With that said, it has nothing to do with the consumer complaining, being ill advised or uneducated, it has everything to do with their marketing, their education, and their package branding. Fisherman are fisherman, not scientists. We don't think too deep on this stuff, well at least most the fisherman I run with. Most of us are old school, even the "bright" ones. Now, I truly appreciate the feedback and the review it was extremely helpful and I gave a thumbs up and will be looking for a ZMAN approved container. But.....here it comes, its not about the consumer, my friend. Rule number one of product development and customer satisfaction, its about the customer so ZMAN, do what you must to ensure your client base are prepped, know your people, know your market....fisherman.....all walks, and most of all, a wiiiiiiide range of smarts on the scale of zero (to) smarts.

My solution to Z Man melting other plastics is to keep them in their bags. I put all my different Z Man shrimp together in the same bag and mix different models but I put them back in a Z Man bag. I remember when I was a kid that certain soft plastics would melt together. Specifically my dad's Culprit worms would melt together with other plastics but it happened to lots of my lures too until I learned to not mix them.

Carrying them inside, makes the roof liner dirty, i have got some rust marks on the roof liner from the rods. It's also difficult to carry longer rods... I did this for a year and now moved over to the solution from GearRak. It's kinda expensive but build quality is solid. If I get lazy after fishing, I can just leave the rods there and the rods can be locked in place... Here's how it looks - kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXi4ZoawprCMorMsi=onFfFW_2OUGqcAF0. There's a possibility that that it can still get stolen but not that easily.

I accidentally stored a z man craw dad, still hooked and next to a frog , and a sink, it ruined the crawdad and barley ruined the other lures, but I got the melted slime all over my hands, if it has a chemical reaction to you're lures would it be harmful to humans by getting that swine all over you're hands?
