oooo man...i almost folded...i want to get back into nitro, but just like you said, i remembered HOURS of frustration and mind numbing faffing around to make these trucks work, thank you for doing this, so i dont have to , cuz i'd get mad after because they never run right and then you end up running it super lean so it'll actually run, and be snappy but then it over heats and ruined the motor etc, not to mention the consumables are to high to warrens all the fussing and the noise, everyone will complain if you run it outside your house a lot, then you gotta pack it up and go off out in the middle of no place to run them without some person being offended by the smell and noise (but hopefully you live in a cooler place then i did as a kid, i got into nitro in the 90's and got righ back out, after i bought a revo 3.3 when it was new, it ran right twice and never again, just went to electric, they always just work) great video, i enjoyed watching it, you did a good job getting that old beauty running! took me back to the 90's when i had my nitro trucks

Metro cars are definitely frustrating😂 but when you get it running, it’s so satisfying. My neighbors are pretty cool about it. I just made a pretty lame mistake, I somehow cross threaded the glow plug.😂 I don’t even remember doing it, but now it’s super hard to unscrew and super hard to screw back in.😬 thanks for the comment. @@nathancarlson2602 you may be able to find out what thread pitch ithas and re tap that hole, i wasnt into nitro that long, only a year or so, back in the 90's, i melted the back end of my nitro rustlers transmission when the linkage for the brakes got stuck and i was driving around for like 20 mins with the brakes on fully it got red hot, then broke off and melted right thru the transmission, it was insane, i was like..maybe nitro isnt my thing LOL

2 things, my friend, the carburetion is terrible, the high-pressure needle is very closed and the low-pressure one too. Check the idle, and the other thing is to check if the fuel tank is making a good seal because I can tell from the noise that a little pressure is escaping. Greetings!

Glad you're back! I just got into the hobby, I have three traxxas rc's and I love them (1. 2020 4tec 3.0 snap-on limited edition C8 corvette that was a christmas present from my former employer but very good friend in 2022, & I bought 2 traxxas 2wd slashes & all 3 are cool vehicles.

Made one just before these came out (heavy metal beast!) basically got a full metal kit underneath a trx4m F150 black hardbody with huge wide bogger tires under her (so ha Traxxas beat u at ur own game)-Roman Go ahead and do a dodge vehicle already!!!! I wouldn’t even be upset if it was the new EV Charger (which is blasphemy against America) on the drift chassis (just something!!!)

The tire will fit on the car, but I don’t know if the tires will rub on the body or hit the chassis because it’s a different size.

Have you done much skate park bashing with this unit? I just recently picked up a vxl like yours and have been learinig my front flips with it at the local skate park. Wondering how well it will hold up to the abuse 🤔

I took mine out to the local skatepark last week for some bashing and after several jumps flips and hard landings the car came off jump and landed on the roof. Since I was on top of another ramp and didn't wanna hop down I used the self righting feature to get myself back on all 4 wheels....... and guess what 🥴 after several jump and hard flips the truck was not broken..... instead it was traxxas's own self righting technology that damaged the truck in the form of a blown out rear axel. I have never liked this feature cause I feel like it abuses the drivetrain and the one time I use it ...... yea 💁♂️ I didn't break my truck..... traxxas did 😡

That’s crazy! I never liked the self writing feature either. It doesn’t work very well on the rustler, but on some of the other bigger monster trucks, they don’t have to try his hard to flip it over but it’s definitely not good for your drivetrain.

It’s pretty much the first crawl I’ve ever used and I think it did pretty fantastic, but I can’t compare to anything else. I’m guessing it’s gonna be more top heavy because it’s higher off the ground. But I completely loved it.

Amazon or your hobby shop. if you have one. If you still have the old TQ controller, you can trade it in and get a discount if you get the Tqi controller. You can also trade in a broken TQI controller if that’s what it has and you’ll get the same discount.
