kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoSUdKiXjtB3ibM you can "finetune" the frequency by changing the power supply, the oven temperature and also... the signal's output impedance : the load can also affect the whole thing ! Other things also affect the precision, but then you become a "time nut" :-) kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJq4iZ6OgNZ5oNU

7805 is "old tech", you will find better regulators with much less noise. And noise is to be avoided at any cost in oscillators 🙂 So at least add a "Pi" CLC filter network with both electrolytic and ceramic capacitors to remove any ripple or noise. I don't know about the noise figure of the TL431, but it's as nice touch. Add a ceramic + inductor filter at the input though 🙂

Thanks for the suggestion, I had to choose 7805 or a switching voltage regulator, I chose 7805 because I thought it would have less noise. 7805 is a "jelly bean" part and I have plenty of them. Idk what would be a modern alternative with low NF. I use 7805 for GPSDO but it has CLC for OCXO so no problem I guess. And TL431 should not be here too, a good 4V reference should be here with a known temperature coefficient, probably something like LT1461. You are right of course, my idea was just to show that it's possible to calibrate OCXO with a GPS module.

you could swap out the 2nd resistor for maybe a 10 Ohm variable resistor, so you can vary the flash speed.

Thank you very much for a well made and interesting video! I Hope noone broke into your backyard or jumped over the fence! I know this is an old video and was wondering if you had any newer small cheap wi-fi camera you could recommend. Especially if you made a more recent video. I have four outdoor survelance camera connected through ethernet and a POE to my (non wifi) Lorex Survelience system and it has been working great for over 8 years without a problem. I want to connect two indoor small hard to detect indoor cameras but can’t run ehternet to the locations I want to put them at. So I need wifi and I want the cameras to be hard to see (so any thief would not steal them). Anyway, my old reliable Lorex feeds me live video outside my home when I am on vacation. But I’m having trouble getting it to identify a wifi camera connected to my router. An IP camera and/or Onvif camera might work, so your camera idea may work unless you know of something better. Please reply! Thank you again!!

My projector has two hdmi ports. One of them faulty and gives flickering pink pixels where there is supposed to be white. I wonder if it's something as simple as a loose connection. Whatever wire that shows green has a weak signal, so it only shows blue and red which when combined looks pink. The other hdmi port is fine.

it's the electrolytes that are conducting the electricity, and since electrolytes carry charge; the higher concentration of electrolytes in a solution, the higher its electrical conductivity. And you can see this at 0:45. Also sugar is non electrolytes that is why it didn’t dissociate into ions

I bought some mosfets from aliexpress to change them into an inverter. I'll tell you that the circuit originally uses CEP76139 (30v 75A N Channel) I wanted to put Irf1404 and they didn't work, then I bought CEP83A3 and it didn't work either and then I bought CEP93A3 and it didn't work. Finally I bought IRFP7540 from another platform and it worked. I don't know if it's because of an imitation mosfets or for another reason. These mosfets don't work. Do you have any experience? Please leave your comment. Thank you very much.

Do stepper motors run cooler with driver is set to less steps per revolution? Do stepper motors run cooler with driver is set to less Amps? I am using Nema 23 57x57x56mm, 23HS2430B, 57BYGH056 Using DM556 Driver ZK-SMC01 stepper motor controller AC 110v to 24v Power Supply 20A Max Using on a machine that runs for hours at a time. Motors run feed screw at constant speed one direction then the other direction for 10 minutes before reversing then repeats. Driver is now set to 2.7A -1600

The infrared light is NOT wasted. IR light is essential for mitochondrial function. Blue light emitted by fluorescent and LED lamps is a carcinogen through its circadian and hormone rhythm suppression via strong activation of the IPGRC. Blue light us incredibly damaging and dangerous. LED lamps exceed safe levels for photooxidation of the retina in 2 hours 47 minutes. That is the maximum allowed exposure per day. They are NOT "safe" for periods longer than that. And that includes electronic devices. Longer exposure causes accumulative eye damage, macular degeneration and ultimately - blindness. Breast cancer rates have been rising at 4% per year since 2016. Ultimately they will rise by 75% over levels in 2015 by 2030. Prostate cancer rates will follow and rise by 130%. GI and rectal will rise by about 30%
