Thanks for sharing. The car is gorgeous a few mods on it but overall appearance is very nice. Only one thing that really bothers me is that the 68 script is not on the side of the fender.

By the smile on your face driving it, I'd have to say no! I Like your shop decor, especially your state State of Texas on your wall, made from Texas license plates.

In the old days, some people modified their cars to look unique. These were called custom cars.

My buddy had one back in 2000 right after we graduated high-school many summer and cold winter nights getting it to run but always had fun cruising it and even road tripping it. Good times.

I'm currently restoring a '69 Mustang Fastback for the original lady owner. She and her dad ordered it from a Ford dealership in Cali back in '69. She wants to keep it totally stock and that's what it will be. Aztec Aqua with black interior. Non-Mach car with 351 2bl and automatic.
@USCG.Brennan7 күн бұрын
Totally stock, numbers matching cars are usually more sought after. Your modifications may not meet what the buyer wants. I've been buying and selling classics and Muscle Cars since the mid '70s and have witnessed this over and over again. Just saying.....

The stock rims were gold with the Z emblem in the center. I miss mine. I love her just the way she was. The only thing was that at 140mph + kinda got a little lighter in the front end, but it was a wild ride and awesome rush around the corners. Ride with me if you dare. 😎

Did I miss a look at the new exhaust system? Went from seeing the old Ford mufflers underneath to seeing the old exhaust laying on the ground. Would have liked to have seen the new system.

Michael. I need a scissor lift that can lift at least 11,000 lbs. I can’t find one that fits between the tires vs full length alignment scissor lifts that are massive and expensive. I own a custom home construction company and we have customers asking for lifts installed in their homes. Most of the time it’s 4-post for storage but I have a project home currently needing out of site lift that can be set flush in the floor. The heaviest scissor lift I’ve found for this application is 9,000 lbs. unfortunately that is not quite enough lift capacity for an F-250 crew cab diesel with a few hundred pounds of accessories (wench, 4” lift, power bed cover, T-rail Yacima Rack system, etc. I cannot find a full height scissor lift online. Maybe I’m searching wrong or it simply doesn’t exist. If it doesn’t exist.. I guess the next best option would be a 2-post Appreciate your and anyone else’s thoughts on this.

I bought a '76 Corvette a number of years go. It was a mahogany color from the factory, but it was red when I bought it. The paint and body were very good. Had it been the factory mahogany when I drove by it, I wouldn't have even noticed there was a for sale sign on it. Build the car you want when you restore it because you never know if you are going to sell it or total it.

I started restorian Mustangs in 1977 and did what you said. Had a 65 FB silver we did a repaint rechrome bumpers redyed the carpet had a white int. Could not sell it almost no one looked at it finally we had a interested buyer who said he liked it but would like red. We said come back in 3 days and it will be. From then on we were very careful what colors we used white was 9D, red was Candy Apple and Nightmist Blue Found out the conv was the most popular FB not so much. I have made a good many 6 cyl conv into V8s changing the suspension and rear end every one I sold told the buyer they could have cared less. Even used all the parts from a GT coupe put them on a conv. Did this in Suburban Chicago and Palm Beach buyers still the same, have taken some conv really bad but after a new floor and qtr panels didn't look that bad.

I added safety and performance features because I drive it frequently and I want to be safer than the car could provide originally. Added disc brakes all around, sway bars, stiffer, suspension, and seat belts for the back seats after my kids were born. Looks original, but far from it. Have had her for 35 years, and would never sell her. She’s made just for me. 👍🏽

Lots of nostalgia generated by this vid. Many thanks. My '74 gave me PLENTY of trouble over the years I had it, but on a sunny day, top down, when it was running right, completely dreamy. You are quite right about the overdrive being very important for these cars. Mine did not have it, and I retrofitted it myself. Absolutely a necessity on these cars.

Car is worth more to those who like red and automatics, a LARGER buying segment than original ones for a non-special car. HZ GT 350, or Boss 429, original might matter, but rest of them it doesn't at all.

Its probably the best interior of any car. I havent seen anything better. Alot of muscle cars look spectacular but the 67 fastback is on another level

Personally, I would put some shoulder belts in from a '68. I don't like the idea of losing my teeth from that steering wheel in a collision.
