Wouldnt 10 degree grab more wood and cut deeper than 8 degree?
@CooksSawmills16 күн бұрын
Not necessarily, an 8 degree blade has a more upright tooth, which is deeper penetration into the wood. This allows each tooth to pull more wood out of the cut for faster cutting speeds. Give me a call and ask for Robert for a more detailed explanation.

I'll be ordering this for my mp 32. Is this a welding project or does it bolt up where the 12v winch turner bolts up?
@CooksSawmillsАй бұрын
Hey Will, installing the turner will use the existing bolt holes for the turner, and require drilling additional holes for mounting as well.
@firewaterfarmsawmillАй бұрын
That's awesome with having that log turner on the smaller mills like this one! gonna save a lot backs and strain. love the cooks AC36 sawmill we have. We appreciate the good customer service. Great team, Awesome mill.

Hi Robert, this is Chuck Root up in Delton Michigan. Is this something that could be installed on my SW52 Super Wide Sawmill? Would it be able to turn Large logs?
@CooksSawmillsАй бұрын
Hey Chuck, That is a really good question. I believe we can have the turner adapted to fit your SW52 to rotate logs up to 36". However, it would not be able to turn the bigger logs.

Mr. Robert I have 19 in wheels on my band sawmill (not cooks). And I was wondering should my idle wheel tire that grips blade is it supposed to be snug or loose? Mine is super loose almost like it's to big kinda hangs down when I open the door to check blade tracking.

You guys are awesome with great morals. Hopefully I can make enough money with my cheap sawmill so I can buy one of yours . Everything I've seen about Cooks is Top notch. With Trump getting back in I think I can achieve this goal financially lol. Until then I'll just buy some of your heavy duty precision parts to get me by. God bless you and your company may you and company prosper in Jesus name

i weny from a Fontier to an older (2007 model) mp32. You wont regret going with a Cooks.
@allenvinson2 ай бұрын
I bought one of those mechmaxx sawmill SM26 model with track extension it shipped to me from NJ but I'm sure it's Chinese sadly. 15hp cuts 26 diameter logs up to about 17ft long basically same spec as woodland Mills cost 3k . It cuts pretty good but it's not anywhere near heavy duty or quality as a cooks sawmill . I think cooks base model or hobby model is about 17k so I'll try to sell enough to afford that one day hopefully.

I have built a few bandmills in my past and am thinking about building another one. What are the pros and cons of using inflated tires for the bandwheels?
@danielnmaryannyoder4 ай бұрын
Lots of great features built into this mill that are missing on other makes! I have a cousin who had a mill from Cook's and with it he sawed himself out of debt and made the money he needed to buy his farm.
