I have built a few bandmills in my past and am thinking about building another one. What are the pros and cons of using inflated tires for the bandwheels?

Lots of great features built into this mill that are missing on other makes! I have a cousin who had a mill from Cook's and with it he sawed himself out of debt and made the money he needed to buy his farm.

This is the only video I could find on the concept and essence of where to run the blade on my mill. I have a different brand mill but I just appreciate getting straight to the point and then offering accessories. I would like to buy from this company now. Thank you so much!

You guys should think about making a modern ‘lag bed’ style planer for one side sizing of board/plank. At least one in regular use in my area and it’s the perfect thing for fresh lumber. Nice looking edger.

It is an in house secret as to the steel blend that we use, however it is not M2. 😉

As with most purchases of this size I did a tremendous amount of research before placing the order for my MP-32. I watched videos, read data sheets and made phone calls. Some of the things about other mills just made no since to me! Bolt together frames and rails are going to move with use. This will necessitate continual adjustment and frustration. I could not understand why a large number of mills had the operator walking in the sawdust while cutting. Blade lube systems that just poured water or other lube on the blade seemed wasteful and messy. I could go on and on! I picked my MP-32 Mill up in March and so far I am very impressed. My mill is exactly like the one Robert demonstrates in this video. I highly recommend the additional squaring arm and clamp as well as the toe board and Jack. I towed my mill to North Carolina and then to my property in Tennesse. Just as Robert said. It tows Great! Great Video Robert!!

p.s. How long of a wait to receive your mill after ordering?
@tennesseebuck16044 ай бұрын
@@rogerdenney3663 I ordered my mill in January 2023 and picked it up in March 2024. Robert initially quoted me a 75 week wait. The mill was ready in 61 weeks. I was quoted similar or longer lead times by other mill companies at that time. I was told by all the Mill companies that the long lead times were supplier related. I think this has improved.

@captncully52174 ай бұрын
I’ve owned one of these since 2019. The only issues I’ve had are. 1: I’ve had to replace the lower arm of the winch system with a 1/4 inch square tubing ( I bent the 3/16” while rotating a heavy oak log) 2: the wiper does not wipe when I do a big 28” or larger log with the guide pulled all the way out. And 32? I can only cut a 30”!! If it’s straight! All that said’ I absolutely love my MP32. Great saw for the money!!

I have a 2007 model MP32 and have fit a 33 1/2" log between the uprights, but max out at 29 1/2" max cut width.

Just measured my max cut to be sure. 27” in is max cut, can get 30” between the rails

You have to adjust the felt wiper down with the 1/4 bolt when you adjust the roller arm 👍

Why can't I get that speed of cutting on y mill? even with brand new blades it doesn't cut that fast. Same mill, just a couple years older.
@CooksSawmills4 ай бұрын
Give us a call and we can discuss your operation and how to get more cutting speed out of the sawmill. Everyone's setup, and what they are cutting will be a little different, but we can tweak it to work best for you.
