Is there a difference between this piccolo latte and cappucino? Or is it the same just different volume?
@jesussalinas39473 сағат бұрын
A piccolo just sounds like a flat white that’s put into a glass.

Wait... put the tip in deeper than the line then drop the jug so the tip is barely in? Is that high pitched sound good or bad? I think ive been doing the opposite of what you stated.

Breville should make a high end machine, not an appliance, because they put a lot of useful and unique features into their machines. I’m past the Breville phase at this point but I’m sure I would’ve considered the BDB if they hadn’t used so many plastic and cheap parts. Nevertheless I would recommend a Breville espresso machine to anyone looking at getting a decent machine for under $1k

So much false information in thus video man. Its more than just the pump that makes the machine more expensive. More so, that machine in particular is way overpriced. It doesnt even have a dual boiler. Also most people can't tell the taste difference between a rotary and vibratory pump. If anything, peope prefer vibratory.

What temperature do you want the milk?
@Goldenbrown.coffee17 сағат бұрын
Between 55-70 Celsius. Most cafes go around 60-65. After 70 the flavour starts to go bad
@kg-Whatthehelliseventhat3 сағат бұрын
If your temp get 2 high, u can put the milk on the stove a bit longer and using salt and either lemon juice or vinegar, you can make a simple cheese similar to ricotta. Or you can use the milk for yogurt.

I do order it "extra hot" if it's for my wife when I am picking it up to-go to bring it home for her. She drinks sugared-up lattes with 1 shot so it's not like she's a connoisseur, but still doesn't like to drink lukewarm. And many places underheat their milk for instant drinkability and quasi-liability concerns.

Wouldn't this just be a "low and slow" immersion brew? This is arguably just like making hot coffee with a Hario Switch or a French press and then cool it down, only it's a lot slower and with a sous vide as heat source. Not exactly what I would think qualifies as a cold brew. 🤔 Cold brewing with a heat source just seems like too obvious of a contradiction.

I have a question, I only drink the one flat white a day, so I can't fill the jug that much or I'd have a bunch of leftover steamed milk. How many times can you steam the same milk, or how do you measure it so you have 0 leftover milk.
@graysheep189Күн бұрын
Milk gets weird when reheated multiple times. Just make less milk.
@rob4787Күн бұрын
Think of the bottom of the lip of the Jug as a max line. Don’t fill above it otherwise it will likely spill over. If you need to use less and its lower than the lip, its not a problem.
@thesolidsnek8096Күн бұрын
You can reheat the milk after it has cooled down 2 times i'd say. The foam will not have the same quality once reheated. You can also add 1 or 2 icecubes into the milk if it hasnt cooled down properly. I usually steam milk just for 1 latte when it's needed and you can steam it once you have enough milk to surpass the lower part of the handle. Its all about the angle and the swirl u get in ur milk. The rest is based on experience since u can either make the milk very frothy with a solid almost seperate layer of foam or silky smooth and with an uniform consistency. The latter is what you need for latte art.
@Goldenbrown.coffee17 сағат бұрын
Try to measure so you have as little as possible. The best way to get good results is with a smaller jug
@kg-Whatthehelliseventhat3 сағат бұрын
Aliexpress has low cost jugs in multiple sizes. I've been more than happy with mine. I can feel the temp of the milk just fine. 😊😊
