A regulatory body has made a rule, this is not a law. The FTC is trying to regulate contracts between independent consensual parties. There are many people out there saying this will not survive any legal challenge as it is beyond the scope of FTC powers as well as unconstitutional. As reported elsewhere, this is also not a complete ban, as there are narrow requirements included in this directive. This reminds me of the ATF overstepping its authority in putting out "guidance" last year that was later comprehensively demolished by both the legislative and judicial branches of government as gross overreach of bureaucratic powers

In other words. If a business tells you that you can learn it in 3 months, it will likely take much longer since you have to do all of this stuff on the side in order to solidify all the concepts that are being presented.
