Sorry I missed the live Dan .I just watched now ... some great racing, and yes, a camera on Irene Corner is a good idea 😊 im not into digital but agree the fuel stops add to the race .I'll try to catch the live next week . Sunday is sometimes a busy day for me 😬 I agree with running the Carreras standard with just tyre trueing. Sometimes the magnet removal can take the fun away . Thank you Both for sharing 🤗

Quick recommendation on power for HO tracks: If you expect to be running modified or high performance cars such as low ohm armatures with high strength motor and traction magnets, I would suggest an adjustable power source that can provide an adjustment range of 9 to 24 volts and can provide up to 5 amps of current per lane on demand. The cars may never demand that much current but some high end chassis can regularly pull over 3 amps peak and a cushion of extra available power is better than riding the edge. A 10 amp source like the one pictured is fine for a 2 lane setup but it could be a little anemic with a 4 lane or more setup. Stock set type cars rarely pull over an amp peak but having extra power available won't hurt them.
@slotvalleyracing5 күн бұрын
I only run the 2 inside lanes on my 4 lane track for the most part

Glad you enjoyed it Harry. I really enjoyed talking with Pete about this. I'm not tech savvy either! Now I did know most of this could be done but have never seen a full example!

All of the things I implemented here are specific to analog, not to HO specifically. It all could be duplicated on an analog 1/32 track.
@Scale_Slotcars_Latvia7 күн бұрын
@slotvalleyracing yes, I would love it all, but it will never happen for this dinosaur 🙄🤣
@Scale_Slotcars_Latvia7 күн бұрын
@Show-MeSlotCars it could be duplicated by someone who knows PC programs but definitely not me Pete ....nothing ever works for me that has anything to do with PC programming 😬😶🌫️

@@Scale_Slotcars_Latvia You might be surprised how straightforward the lap timing is. And that is the most impactful. No need to go beyond that, but once you have that going each additional feature gets easier and easier.

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻, Great stuff! I couldn’t imagine hitting a lane changer at ho speeds, but I’d sure like to try.. Definitely a step in the right direction. SCFL!

If the Lane changer in HO was the 15" straight it might work.

Nice supply, You may want to look into your powerbase my policar powerbase had resetting fuses and I bypassed them and ran a fuse in line with each controller because those resetting fuses cut off when you use the lower wind faster motor cars my policar track worked much better when I bypassed them suckas!

Dan, is that the Evolution timer for analog? Is it a good investment if I want to use it for analog timing? Does it give you all the times for each lap?
