Thanks for sharing & inspiring! I never considered curing my own saltfish before, I’m fortunate enough to get really good saltfish whenever I need or want it but I’m intrigued enough by this to want to try salting and curing some for myself. We’re getting close to end of summer and clear hot days can be iffy but I have a dehydrator and can fall back to it if needs be. Thanks again … will post back if successful!!! 👍🏽👍🏽

Kolony congrstulation on your new channel. I admire how you cure the salted fish. You vould do fresh mackerel or sprat the same too. As a child growing up, l watch my grandmother, and grand Aunt do pork and beef. Anything can be corn or cure even cucumbers, mangoes etc. keep Up The Good Work. Blessings.

I only buy my salt fish from the Portuguese store and it comes from Portugal. It’s not prepackaged. You can see the whole fish. I don’t trust any food coming out from China including their garlic.

You don't need gloves 🧤 when you touch food
@kitchenkolony2 ай бұрын
I know you don't have to but it is part of my hygiene regime.
@sanjanewmoonlife2 ай бұрын
@@kitchenkolony Don't teach me about your part of hygiene regime,your parents your grandparents never used gloves when they touch and cooked food. I worked in restaurant cooking and never used gloves. What for your food are not dirty ,gloves are only for cleaning. I hate all these fake 🤥 people who are pretending cooking with gloves 🧤🧤🧤. Wash your hands when you touch different food ,meat with vegetables,fruit,you must wash your knife every time when you cut different food. Do you know how to keep food in fridge ,where meat to put,where cheese,where milk ,where fruit.. Better learn lessons about hygiene regime.
