5:50 I'm trying to understand the altimeter. In this case, he is at L52 (Oceano) which is located at 14 feet MSL. Why does it appear that his altimeter shows ~200 feet while sitting on the ground? I thought we set the barometric pressure according to AWOS, and that should align the altimeter to the correct local elevation of the airport.

I have been simming since flight sim 1.0...These home cockpits have never made me more jealous. I thought I had a great setup with my turtle beach pedals, and alpha/bravo yoke/throttle. then I see this. Great build bud

It is necessary to have such a setup.I would never invest money in one but it depends how real you want it.I have some military sims where this kid of gear is wrong .

I pay 2700 for unlimited 6 months to All In Aviation Las Vegas for there crazy high end Cirrus sr 20 or 22 sim. And if you want a CFI with you add this service. Super high end CFIs.

You should get a 3d printer, a lot of this stuff could’ve been made in house. & you could probably even sell some items to recoup a bit of what you spend on your own set up
