I've had mine a few years, wish I wouldn't have loaned it out, but that's another thing. I need to find replacement filters for it but HF no longer carries it, so I'll need to figure out a cross reference. One of those cartridge filters would be nicer than the ones it came with...just have to find the right size.

I used to follow a young mechanically minded man's projects on KZbin. One day he was showing off his electric chainsaw and told how he saved time by fastening in place some part of the saw which I thought might be a safety mechanism. It wasn't long before the saw started smoking and he threw it down in disgust. If he ever associated fastening that mechanism with the smoke or if they were cause and effect, I don't know.

I just searched for a minor coolant leak with mine, on my truck. The sunlight was a problem. I shaded the hood and had a good picture. I got it up into tight places. Its a good tool for the money. I couldn't afford one when i was working as a mechanic. I am sure there are better ones, but this does a good job for me.

If it were easy to set up to unscrew I would say it is great , but IT IS NOT EASY TO SOMEONE THAT NEVER HAD THIS TOOL !! If someone just use it without checking the direction the driver will take that person will end up tightening the screw and bending the metal the screw is affixed to ! None of you show how to properly set it up !!!!

It is very confusing when it comes to the instructions. Instructions talks about "adjusting L to R or adjusting L to R" But this tool is not used for "adjusting", but to "loose" bolts / screws. You are not showing how to adjust it one way or another and when I used it all I did was bent my board while no tiene at all happens in regard to the metal screw !

He should place the strap in the center of the grip area; the end alters the actual force as designed into the tool. Of course, the scale accuracy is also critical.

True, it's hard to understand why people leave videos up on KZbin giving out incorrect information. At least he has erred on the side that delivers a smaller error - if the false "pull from 12 inches" procedure is used on a much longer wrench so the force loading point is some distance up the handle, the resulting error will be far greater.

You shoul let people know that once the Wrench is set and put to.a poundage the click will always happen when the nut gets to that poundage regaudless of hand position. Thenjust cant understand why the foot out is important for calibrating the tool. Short video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5ycZnlmna2Gabcsi=vYkcVXIWVyQJsmNr

I just bought one of these at harbor freight today as it was an open box special. I didn't have any immediate use for it except the price was irresistible at $29!! I WAS relieved at your hesitancy about it's usefulness during a zombie apocalypse which told me it COULD come in handy! If you hadn't hesitated, I'd be worried that I wasted my money. At least that's the excuse I used on my wife......

Mike I enjoyed your video and your humor. I have the exact same saw and I don't use it a whole lot. I wish I had more time for projects with it and that day will come. I also had an issue with my Blade Guard. My guard shattered at the screw hold down where the spring attaches that makes the guard go up and down as you raise and lower the blade. The part is obsolete and is not available from Chicago Electric. I tried epoxying the assemble but as soon as you use it a few times it blows up. I wonder if you or anyone viewing has any ideas to replace it or repair it. I will continue to use it, but would feel better using it with a functioning guard. Thanks to you or anyone that may have a solution.

You beat me to it by a few hours...LOL. I was going to say to use an electric Carving knife, make fast work and smooth cuts. Picked up one almost new at a Thrift store. 3M 8090 is recommended on a couple of the Mercedes Forums to spray the under side of the Hood for a new Foam Pad. Used on one of my cars a good 10 years ago, and still holding the pad up. So should be good on a seat. Any one in the Reno, Nv. area, there is a place called "Mill Ends", huge wear house with every type fabric, Vinyl and Foam etc...

That cheesy plastic depth stop busted the first time I looked at it funny. After it broke into three pieces, I told it a few things about its momma. After a lot of poking around the internet looking at dozens of replacements, NONE of which would fit, I finally found some dude in Texas who makes and sells a machined (or maybe 3D printed) aluminum part for $35. Installed one on mine and it works just fine.

I bought one too. Instructions suck. It is not clear how to change the direction of the unit. I pushed it against my anvil and turned the collar, and it just kept turning. No stops or ratching, nothing. One review said to start turning pressure before hitting it with a hammer. Maybe that sets the direction, I don't know. And buddy, you need to get a proper hammer! That's a carpenters claw hammer. ;)

Can I restrict the hose to 3/8" or 1/4" hose for watering plants? 12 ft lift. It will be used for 5 minutes for 3 times a day. Would that burn up the motor? I have a rain barrel with a bottom hose bib to water my plants, and a watering timer. I guess I need a pressure switch to shut off power if there is no water??

This torch is great especially at this price. Just be prepared for how loud it is when on full open. You will want earplugs, and maybe some for your neighbors as well. I am using this to burn off propane in two 420lb tanks that the previous owner left on my property that were used to heat a pool that was removed when he left.

I also have a 61969 miter saw. Unfortunately, the saw got dropped at some time and broke a piece under the front of the turn table. I can't find the part because the turn table on the 61969 saw was modified. On your saw the Knob that holds the saw at a desired angle threads into the front of the actual turn table casting and the miter lock lever mounts to the under side of the turn table. On my model 61969 saw there's a plastic piece about 6" long that holds the miter lever and has a steel threaded insert cast into the front of this piece. The entire piece is attached to the bottom front of the turn table with 6 screws. I don't know when these changes were made so I don't know if my saw is a newer model 61969, or an older saw made before the changes. If any of your viewers have a saw that matches the description of a saw like mine and knows what this piece is called PLEASE let me know. Also, I double checked the model number just to be sure it is in fact a model 61969.
