Camaro was designed to compete Mustang. You are comparing wrong cars. .

Correct. And the Mustang was introduced to compete with the Corvair. This is one step before the Camaro came out to compete with the Mustang. And note that the Camaro was virtually a copy of the late model (1965-69) body style/profile!

@@timinbovey . In early 60s Corvair was designed to compete with VW bug and that's why they are rear boxer engine which is pretty much similar but unfortunately could not work the way they expected and that's why they discontinued. In fact, Mustang was modernized sport Ford Falcon which worked better than what assumed so keep continued. Few year later before GM stays behind, designed Camaro and Firebird to compete with ford and few years later Chrysler designed Challenger in 1970 to equalize the system. .

Commenting on my own video! The singer is Pony Sherrell. Pony Sherrell Metcalf performed with her sister as the Sherrell Sisters and later worked in Hollywood musicals and nightclub acts. Born Doris Gislen in New York, she started out in radio with her sister Grace. As the Sherrell Sisters, they appeared on the “Horn And Hardart Hour,” “Uncle Don’s Radio Show” and on the Loews and RKO circuits. The team eventually got its own radio show on WOR New York. Later, the sisters performed with Rudy Vallee, Ken Murray’s Blackouts and the singer Gene Austin. Pony Sherrell married Austin, and the Sherrell Sisters continued to perform with him. When the couple separated, the sisters moved to California to appear in Hollywood musicals. In the 1950s, Sherrell collaborated with Philip Moody on films such as “So This Is Paris” and “The Second Greatest Sex.” The team then wrote and produced stage shows for Mae West, Betty Grable, the Ritz Bros., Anna Maria Alberghetti, Marilyn Maxwell and others. They also worked with producer Donn Ardon. While working at New York’s Latin Quarter, Sherrell met Jess Metcalf, a Texas financier. Once married, they divided their time between houses in New York, Connecticut and California. Jess Metcalf died in 1972.

We had a little 45 called “The Giggly (or giggling?) Polka” when we were little. Can’t find anywhere. I think it was from the 1950s. Anyone ever hear of it?

The tilt and scrambler are my favorite but the kick ass is the HYMILAYA . Old school carnivals are slowly dying out😢. I miss working for the carnival and the sideshows. I wish they would bring cumberland valley shows BACK. That litterly broke my heart when they went out of business 😢😢😢

Makes you wonder, why is Ralph Nader have such a hate for Corvairs. Years ago, I had three Corvairs, 1965 Monza, 1966 Monza, and lastly a 1967 Corsa, sadly I traded them all away. Foolish me! They were really great cars, even in the winter. Great traction!

Hahaha! Man, they were trying rally hard to sell the Corvair. Should have picked a different car to compare to. Sorry, not even close. The Mustang is a masterpiece and an American icon that is still in production to this day while the Corvair was unsafe at any speed, had uninspiring lines, was a Karmann Ghia wanna be and didn't even last 10 years.

both are sporty compac cars , the late model 65-69 is better looking than the 60-64 corvairs but this is a chevy promotion film , ive driven both like them both the 66 corvair corsa turbo 4 wheel independent suspension ,did handle the back roads, but the 66 mustang 289 v8 power got me my one and only speeding ticket, id put one of each in my collection

It's amusing that about every point Chevy was making about the Corvair being superior to a Mustang was also true when compared to the Chevy II which outsold the Corvair by a wide margin. And which was the basis for the Camaro.
