Cheers mate, this was better than all my personal PBs this year, she found that zone, dug in and went for it. Mega Proud ❤️🥲

Great video Warren, and congrats on your 5k and 10k PBs. Looking forward to seeing how you get on in half marathon training. My prediction is you have a 1:30 in you 👍🏼

Thanks Sam and thanks for watching and that's my target for the half.. I'll keep eye on your progress in the coming months too..nice one mate ... really like the YT community. I found the strava community really supportive and sticks together but the YT is proving another level. It's great to see people achieving there goals in running. Call it an echo chamber if you will but it's what I love to see and share 😁🙌

Are they Endorphin elites? My racers are the Endorphin Pro 3's. They have a decent enough footbed for some more supportive insoles. Definitely make a big difference to the paces I can hold. Much more than the couple of % that they usually quote.

@@TheRegularRunner there's are the endorphin pro 4s... I find they offer much more stability than the other carbon plated trainers I've tried 👌

I agree. That was her first 5k & Parkrun in 2nhalf years. I think we try one quick 1 a month if possible ... don't want to kill it with my over enthusiasm 😅... the main thing is she enjoys it 👍

Well done mate, what a fantastic achievement that is. You really should be proud that you were able to drag your kid out of bed at that time on a weekend in Christmas week. Oh and the run was pretty good too 🤣 She absolutely smashed it. If it wasn't for fighting with her jacket she might have managed even better! Gonna be there next week to try and hit a sub 25 for the first time. After seeing the condition of the paths in your video, I'm now debating whether to wear my race shoes or not. I don't fancy doing an ankle in. Well done both of you. Great effort.

@TheRegularRunner thanks mate, tbh yesterday's run felt much better than all of my own PBs this year. SUPER PROUD DAD 🥳🎉 Yeh she undid her jacket near the end in an attempt to cool down i think... not sure if it worked 🤔 I'd say aslong as it's bin dry youll be fine in race shoes. That muddy bit was just on the last mini loop. The path was clear on most parts. I don't think there's a better course for a PB in Manchester tbh mate. Your not going to 'try'.. your going to smash it 💪.. look forward to the video

You made a really good point in this one mate. Failure is opportunity. I like that. Missing a goal is just that and nothing more. We set our own goals, and some of them are more ambitious than others. Im currently chasing 25 mins for the 5k which im planning an attempt at alexandra parkrun after new year, and then ill take a couple of weeks off to let the mind recover. In fact I have a 10 mile guided trail run booked in mid Jan which which isn't a race, so that should be good. With cameras, the insta360 go3s is good for races. It can attach to a baseball cap and you just press the button when you want to record. Just remember it only has a 30 minute or so battery life. Thanks for the video mate. Lot of good advice here.
@whereweoffDAD22 күн бұрын
@TheRegularRunner thanks for your comment. Yes there is no failure really. It's all learning 👌 Would definitely recommend alexandra if you've not done it. I'd say the fastest course in Manchester with Stretford a close second so for an all out effort 👍 I might go for insta 360 in new year but will see how it goes with the videos 📹
@TheRegularRunner22 күн бұрын
@whereweoffDAD South Manchester is my current parkrun pb course at 26:13 with alexandra a close second. But given the time of year i think alexandra is probably quicker because south manchester has an off road / trail section that i hear gets bad in winter. 😬 I'm looking forward to seeing more of your stuff mate. Seeing how quicker folk achieve their goals helps give me the kick to get out and keep putting the work in. Keep it up mate 👍

nice video! well done on your PB. How far is each lap?
@whereweoffDADАй бұрын
I thought it was 1k which sounds right but not quite got my head around the maths as it's a 4 and 3/4 lap course and the first one was a short lap. I am tempted to say they were k splits but then 4 n 3/4 k is short of 5 🤔... I tried to find that out but had no luck. Maybe just over 1k per lap 💭
@nialbuckley5785Ай бұрын
Yeah must be just over 1k per lap then cos 5.1k divided by 4.75 is 1075 per lap so if you did do the .75 for the first lap then 4 full laps ?

Apparently, the Scots Guards are very interested to know why he has their uniform on, the sporran has their badge on it, also, the hackle in his feather bonnet is their colours, as for the playing of this well known tune, too fast & loads of fingering mistakes, absolutely AWFUL.
