Really enjoyed that video. I love my parkruns too and i had a massive smile on my face all the way through. I can see how much of a proud dad you are, keep it up. Little note, it would make more sense if you were giving times per km rather than per mile (only a suggestion, definitely not a criticism). I have subscribed as i am looking forward to seeing your next ones. If you fancy a tough one try Pennington Flash in Leigh (my nearest)

@boltonw514 thanks for watching and taking time to offer feedback.. I was wondering on the day about how to present splits. My watch is set up in miles and I've always ran and measured pace in miles but I was also looking and calculating the km splits aswell to give her an idea of where she was at 😀. Anyway it's something I'll consider for future videos as it breaks it down further and provides better data ... i am almost certain it would have been complete progression through the 5.. I've run Pennington Flash earlier in the year. It's a beautfull course 👌 ... definitely won't be wearing them new road trainers in the winter there tho 🤣

@@whereweoffDAD Great to see you have tried Pennington Flash. You will have to let me know if you both come up in 2025, it would be great to run together. I have picked up your Strava too (Mark Lloyd). Good luck for all your runs in 2025, i bet it won't be long before your daughter is faster than you 🏃♀🤣

Just returned the follow and if we can get up 1 week would be great to catch up. I honestly would love nothing more than for her to exceed me and she has all the potential to do so should we wish. I've set PBs in 5k and 10k this year a few times and witnessing that effort from her beats the lot 🙌

Well done mate, what a fantastic achievement that is. You really should be proud that you were able to drag your kid out of bed at that time on a weekend in Christmas week. Oh and the run was pretty good too 🤣 She absolutely smashed it. If it wasn't for fighting with her jacket she might have managed even better! Gonna be there next week to try and hit a sub 25 for the first time. After seeing the condition of the paths in your video, I'm now debating whether to wear my race shoes or not. I don't fancy doing an ankle in. Well done both of you. Great effort.

@TheRegularRunner thanks mate, tbh yesterday's run felt much better than all of my own PBs this year. SUPER PROUD DAD 🥳🎉 Yeh she undid her jacket near the end in an attempt to cool down i think... not sure if it worked 🤔 I'd say aslong as it's bin dry youll be fine in race shoes. That muddy bit was just on the last mini loop. The path was clear on most parts. I don't think there's a better course for a PB in Manchester tbh mate. Your not going to 'try'.. your going to smash it 💪.. look forward to the video

I agree. That was her first 5k & Parkrun in 2nhalf years. I think we try one quick 1 a month if possible ... don't want to kill it with my over enthusiasm 😅... the main thing is she enjoys it 👍
