Honesty, i won't lie, the network is generally in a pretty godawful state, however, I will admit it gives it a somewhat pleasant antique charm. I really like the rolling stock variation, especially the blue double decker light rail trams. I hope that someday the socioeconomic & sociopolitical situation in Egypt improves and this network can become fully modernised and become actively well maintained

My favourite video on your channel! I watch the video once every year...(The same for Konotop trams) The Tatra T3 and T6B5 trams running on probably the worst tracks in the world at that time...BIG LIKE! The tram tracks from my city (Bucharest) are bad on some lines, but no really like that... What is the situation now? Are the lines still bad? Still running Tatra trams?

A little update for Tallinn tram fans! @KT4Dani , your video is the last proper documentation of all of the KT4 trams in service. At this time, only 3-6 KT4D trams are still operational, but are not used for passenger service anymore. We can almost officially conclude that the service of KT4 trams in Tallinn is over, they're now a beautiful piece of history. If you'd like to see this type in operation before it's completely terminated, you have a chance of spotting one on line 5, but rarely, as usually KT4SU 104 or a Pesa takes the cover shift if anything does happen on the line.

Thanks for information. Iam follow the situation at transphoto every week and was shocked in last weeks, how fast the KT4D-service go down 😞. But it was known, that it will end with new PESA. So it was reason for my visit in 04/2024.

Excellent Video, thank you! As you maybe have some experience with the bus system there, you can answer me a question? How does the collection of fares work on the trolleybus and bus system in Urgench in general? I understand that it is a "pay per ride" system, right? Is it cash only or can you pay per card? And do people pay reliably? Thank you for the video! Kind regards!

Thank you! So i dont know if there is any "pay by card"...i used only normal payment, like all other people which i see. So, you go into trolleybus in door 2 or 3 and finish your trip at first door. Than you pay by driver or conductor by go out of trolleybus. Its very easy 🙂

Did you have any problems with people telling you not to film? I had constant people complaining at me for filming the trams here. Surprisingly I had less hassle from people when I was holding onto the back of the tram instead of riding inside it. It is interesting how many people ride the back either for fun or to avoid paying for a ticket. The blue trams are still the same today as when you filmed them, but sadly the double deck tram has gone. The street running trams have deteriorated a lot since your video. There is now only one street running route operating, as it barely goes faster than walking speed. There is one part where the tram goes the opposite direction down a one way street, forcing traffic to move out of its way. The trams look like they have been in a crash many times. I can't see the street running trams operating for much longer. With the way people drive in this city, having trams in the same space as cars simply doesn't work. Plus most people prefer to squeeze into micro buses with crazy fast drivers, rather than using a slow old tram.

North Korea is a beautiful and interesting country. It's fun to ride the tram there. Unfortunately, the borders have been closed for several years and visiting is no longer possible.

I went here last summer, everything was in ruin. Glass shattered, graffiti all over, even the rides in the park were gone. I remember going here with my father way back when, sad to see the current state it's in.

It is almost 2025 and Belgrade tram system is degraded, destroyed plus it fell in even bigger disrepair. In this video every possible line was fully operational. Today whole system runs on half of it's capacities if not even less.

Oh, thanks for information. I planned a trip to Beograd again in springtime 2025. Are so much lines there, without service? I only know from suburban line 3 (?), which are closed?

@KT4Dani Yeah and part of the city i live in is affected by that, 3 is closed since 2018 and many more lines are shortned or turned in bus lines("temporarily") That green bridge(old sava bridge built in 1942 during occupation)is about to be demolished, they removed tracks. You will still be able to get some shots but you will notice that tram stock remained same, and trams are much less frequent than back in 2013. I know for sure that 7 and 9 are shortned or even fully closed because of that bridge. I am not fully sure since I don't use public transport anymore. It became so unreliable and degraded. On a pair with some third world countries for sure. City grew rapidly almost without any single plan and road/transport infrastructure remained the same.

Oh yeah...sweet vehicles. ☺ I found this small railway a lot of years ago online by searching on the map for tramsystem-planning in Taipei and save this as a idea, when i go there maybe anytime. This year, i realized it 😃 Thats true, the newer vehicles are come to service in 2022...i think 2 trains.

Die heizen wirklich ganz gut darüber...ich habe mich da aufgrund des kurzen Achsstandes auch schon gewundert, dass da nichts passiert, denn die Anhänger schaukeln sich schon sehr stark auf. Auch die Ausfahrtskurve am Tunnel wird zügig durchfahren. Aber vor Ort habe ich keinerlei Spuren einer Entgleisung vernommen...scheinbar denken wir zu europäisch und etwas an der Pufferzone der Physik vorbei. 😀

@@KT4DaniJa, die sind schon sehr flott unterwegs, das sind definitiv mehr als die erlaubten 12km/h! 😱Aber wie du sagst, es scheint zu funktionieren und so bekommt man da auch etwas Achterbahnfeeling mit. 😉 Irre Gefährte, mit nem Rasenmähermotor laut dröhnend und schaukelnd über Klapptiger Feldbahngleise. Das ist schon ein Abenteuer. Gab ja über die Jahre immer mal Betreiberwechsel und betriebliche Probleme; auch durch Erdbeben und einen Taifun, wo Teile der Strecke zerstört wurden. Aber auch die Seilbahn macht nen ziemlich abgeranzten Eindruck. Wenn du schon so weit da runter gereist bist, warst du auch auf der Alishan Waldbahn? Die ist -zumindest von den Videos her- sehr interessant und durchfährt vom Meer bis ins Hochgebirge quasi 4 Klimazonen.

At 4:00 there is Skoda 9tr no. 128. In 1980, when I was 10, this trolleybus was brand new then taking me home from school in the city of Brno, Czechia. I clearly remember that as I was a fan. It was no. 3136 in Brno. Much later it was sold to Rivne, Ukraine. After 23 years serving in Rivne it was bought back by Brno again. Now it is being renovated as a museum piece and I, now 54 years old, cannot wait to ride it again during transport nostalgia days...
