Hi Liz! My girlfriend and I were able to secure frequent fear passes with express just barely 😅 The $777.44 x 2 is a bit high in my personal opinion but we’ll definitely go as many times as possible. Sorry to hear about your friends missing out! Hopefully they can upgrade to express at a later date. Thanks for the video! 😊

I LOVE shopping at my local Asian store but your place looks like heaven. I must admit I’ve never had the pizza Lunchables or the chicken nuggets. I was not a fan of the Mango Habanero Doritos but I LOVE the Buffalo Ranch on that I can ONLY find in small bags at our QTs! I haven’t gotten to see a lot of vlogs lately but have you tried: the Hidden Valley Garlic Ranch (do it with pizza) and Sweet Baby Rays Garlic Buffalo Chicken Wing Sauce? And your bagels looked delish?

They sell the turtle chip churro flavour at Costco in Canada. They are so good!! If you find it, get it! I love Lunchables, still eat them but honestly never tried the pizza. Mike should try it!

We were only after RoF so we were able to get ours no problem thankfully. I’ve been going since 09 and was shocked to see the others sell out too. I feel like they should have announced when tickets were going on sale at the very least. Probably should have also warned that FF express quantities would be limited this year as well if that is the case. I feel bad for those that couldn’t get the tix they wanted. Hopefully they will indeed sell more!

I really miss HHN - it's been over 10 years since we were at the Orlando event (we have been to the Hollywood one though since then). This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion but I honestly agree that they needed to cut back on the FFP/express passes. While it's been some time since we went, even then the amount of FFP/express passes they sold then was getting out of hand. From what I saw the past few years, even the express lines were getting out of hand (I could be wrong though since we haven't seen it in person and are just going by what we saw online). Hoping your friends are able to get their passes though!

My issue is that I don't have any faith they're cutting back on the number of express passes sold - it's just to sell MORE single night express at a higher premium, versus the flat rate of the FFP express. Those single night express tickets have gone up to $150 to $240 per person, per night depending on the date. So I just have a feeling some accountant saw $$$$ and they cut back on the FFP availability. If in fact the lines are shorter, it'll be a different story. That said - I have never had a bad express experience beyond opening weekend, where everything is just chaos. If the wait time is 120-160 minutes, and I'm waiting 30 minutes? That's a win. Some people just go in expecting to only wait 5 minutes regardless of how big the regular queue is at the current time, and that's just not a realistic expectation!

I thought the same thing about the Baja Fiery Mango Doritos. We got out at 7 Eleven with the cherry Slurpee Twinkies.I’m glad you tried the pizza Chex mix. We tried the spicy dill ones.They are ok. I do think you need to have Mike try a pizza lunchable. I sorry about the HHN tickets.I hope they will release more in the next couple of weeks.

We come from out of state and have been doing HHN for 12 years. We missed out on express for our FFP. Really bummed. I just finished Silver Flames. Watching your vlogs got me into the ACOTAR and Fourth Wing books. I’ve really enjoyed them all!! I also vote yes for Mike’s pizza lunchable for science!

Unpopular opinion: they're right to limit the amount of express, recent years have kinda sucked due to the amount of people both attending the event and paying for express. Limit it so express is nice but not required.

If the express is truly limited for single-night tickets too, then I could agree. My fear is that they will just sell just as many, but at the higher price of the single-night instead of FFP! Guess we'll have to wait and see how it all works out!

Missed the drop for UFF while I was at work and didn’t think anything of it since it’s not normally an issue. So crushed that now it’s sold out, just so disappointed. Do you think the play is to buy without express and try to upgrade if they do release more or just waiting to see what happens? I agree with you 100% that I don’t think this has anything to do with managing capacity and wait times, it’s a clear money grab to get people to buy single night express multiple times instead.

Ughhh I'm so sorry! So many people in that boat for sure. It's never been a problem before. I think if you're wanting to get either FF, FF+, or Ultimate, get those passes without the express and hope to upgrade. That way you definitely have that pass in case those are capped as well - we just don't know!

I'm glad all I needed was rush to fear with express which my brother and I purchased Friday morning after I heard the other passes with express sold out. I'd really like them to figure out a way to have Islands of adventure open from 8-11 or midnight to help with the increasing crowds.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I hope you are right and they do come back. My husband and I have been coming since 2009 and always got this ticket as of 2010 I think. I saw them go on sale at 5am but I figured I had a few days to get them was gonna get them soon. I was so crushed when this happened. I almost cried, now I’m mad. We split stay including hard rock every year and go all the nights we can. This year we were gonna do 7 at hhn. It’s more cost effective for us to do the ultimate than it is to pay per day. I am always ready to shell out the 2K for us as this is what we look forward to all year. If this doesn’t come back we will probably only go 3 or 4 nights and possibly cancel the hard rock. It’s not worth it to me to pay for the hard rock if we aren’t going to hhn every night we possibly could, the cost to me gets worth it when we walk back at night exhausted. On top of that if it doesn’t come back we will be extending our time at Disney cause I’m pissed off at universal. I’ve been a fan of universal since I was 5 years old and don’t think I’ve ever been this mad at them before. I know we can pay even more and do things seperate if it doesn’t come back, but to me it comes down to the principal and not getting any warning there was a change this year. Thank you for listening to my rant lol.

Honestly, I COMPLETELY understand and empathize with your situation! I have friends in very similar boats. They're waiting to see what happens before canceling trips and hotels they've booked, because it's just not cost effective for them to travel without these passes. I hear you!! I would say - please call Universal Guest Services, ask to talk to a supervisor, and voice your feelings! Nothing will change if we don't let them know. If enough of us (respectfully) contact Universal, I am hopeful they will see what they've caused through their lack of communication and right this wrong.

I agree this is the IP I am most looking forward to although I do love Ghostbusters. I've rewatched Insidious 1 and 2 so far, and plan to watch the rest this weekend. I am gutted that tickets have sold out for people, we are only going twice this holiday as taking my step daughter and not sure how much she will like it so we got single day tickets for 9 and 16 October. Maybe see you those nights? I hope your friends manage to get tickets sorted!!xx

Liz, love your channel and love RIP tour...but just think how ridiculous it is to say folks wont come to the event because they cant get express. The difference between the UFF and UFF with express is $600. That is at least 5 nights of single night express. Im sorry, but if someone cant enjoy the season with ONLY 5 nights of express, they are just spoiled brats. The full season express has always only made financial sense for locals. The local fanatics have frankly become a nuisance, spamming the houses and making lines unbearably long for normal people.

I get your viewpoint, but let me counter with a few things. The lowest single-night express pass for 2024 is $150. There are only a few nights where that rate is an option. Most nights in October run from $170-$240 for a single night of express. Adding express onto the pass a la carte is not an option many can make. Yes, we're blessed to be Orlando residents or local enough to attend multiple nights. BUT - many also work where using S&S or staying until the end of the night isn't feasible. So to get the real use of these FFP passes that were created for the fans/locals, express is necessary. It's not about being bratty, it's about being willing to spend $800-$1200 to see the event that we spend ALL year talking about. If this is truly a cap, Universal is sending a message that those kinds of fans are expendable and they'd rather have the more profitable single-night guests buying tickets and express for more $$$. Which very well could be the case! Perhaps Universal has decided they're done with the fans that kept the event running for years before it was popular. It's going to be a tough pill to swallow, if that's indeed the case. Fans are feeling that right now, and I can't blame them. My main complaint is the lack of communication. If they intended to make these passes limited, it needed to be handled differently.

@@DiscoLiz I totally respect your opinion, probably than maybe any other podcaster/content person in the entire community. You make good points and are right about the hardcore local fans really supporting the event. Having kept up with the spec season/podcasts the last couple of years, ive noticed two glaring common themes: 1) everyone recalls previous years being their favorites and those were generally one of their first years that they didnt attend nearly as much and 2) there is serious apathy and burnout by the time you get to season recap shows. Many podcasts/content stop releasing stuff until their recaps which sometimes are in Dec/Jan. That means people are attending so much that it no longer is special. After a while its just going to justify the $$ you have spent. Universal really needs a better system for express and season passes. Sell week long express passes or sell a fixed # of line skips for the season. Express is being abused and should have never been a part of the season pass to begin with. It should be for special occasions

I think there's definitely something to be said for getting nostalgic for years where you only had a few nights and couldn't get jaded about it. But then there's another kind of magic for going many nights in a season and developing report with scareactors in the streets, or favorite scares in the houses, etc. But it's very easy to take it for granted and get bothered by the crowds, the heat, etc if you aren't careful! I know for our podcast, we end up going dormant during HHN season just because we're all so busy with experiencing the haunts - often together! But you make a good point that we should be better about still podcasting during the hype season. <3

Even if they add more tickets (which I hope for those that don't have theirs yet), this makes me believe that the attendance for HHN this year will be higher than last year. With that, please Universal - add more offerings in the park - open up Simpsons Ride, Minion Blast, more shows, maybe another house. Grow the event even more! People want to be here, give them more reasons to stay ❤🎃

The tickets sold out far too quickly for this to be the normal allotment of FF passes with Express, so I don't know about the attendance part. If anything, I think they're trying to make more bank over selling individual express passes rather than allowing FFPs to use express as much as we have in the past. But that said - you aren't wrong! There is a desperate need for more attractions and entertainment (or more houses!) to contribute to lesser lines. With less intimidating waits, the demand for express by the FF pass holders would be far less!

I started going to HHN in 2018, so Insidious is new to me at the event! I’m really excited for this one. The entire franchise is incredible and the further spirits are so spooky. I truly can’t wait! Also thankful my trip is short based on the pass chaos 🥲 I feel for everyone who didn’t get to get their passes according to plan, so unfortunate. Fingers crossed it works itself out!

I wish I lived close enough to buy a multi night pass. I bought my 2 single night tickets w/express. And that was over $500 So multi night tickets are def worth it!! I wish everyone that wants one gets one!

For once my anxiety came through for me! My sister and I wake up super early every year when I see rumblings and rumors on Twitter that passes are going on sale the next day for fear of them selling out. I've been going since 2018 and have never seen it happen but still....anxiety! Woke up yesterday morning at 4:45 am and we snagged our passes. Seeing HHN Twitter on fire yesterday afternoon was insane! Part of me is happy if they are doing this to cap express as it was crazy stupid wait times for the amount of money paid last year(not to mention the hike in prices this year!!) And the other part is sad because I think it might just be a way for them to cash in even more on those single night express passes which will do nothing for wait times and lock out their loyal fan base who purchase FF+ every year. Honestly, I think they are going to bring back express pass options once the dust settles but only time will tell!
