The biblical prophet Elijah has returned, as prophesied, and testifies: Alan Watts is wonderful. Here's what TIME is: Time is Eternity viewed at a less-than-infinite sampling rate. And Time is the constant chance to CHOOSE AGAIN, the choice being a binary one: the choice between the rational desire for Truth...and the irrational desire for Truth to be what one DESIRES Truth to be....which is the OPPOSITE of desiring Truth, as this is the insane desire to CONTROL Truth. And THIS is the original (and continuing) error; the so-called "Original Sin." But here's the "GOOD NEWS": Desire Truth (sanity) and it is yours. For "the Kingdom of GOD is within you," and is only temporarily lost to your awareness. THIS choice of desires, the unbiased desire for Truth, is "salvation" itself; salvation from limitation. And no soul can refuse it forever!

Psychological Everexpanding Evolutionary Clarity at the forefront of our Cosmic Existence is what seems most sages only touched on briefly and couldn't quite bring All Home, maybe because they were so wrapped in rules of religiosity's engagement or an elusive masquerading ego, which as Alan states " is an illusion wrapped in futility". That's simply so much more than invisible, isn't it not ¿ Alan not only brings it All Home for All but leaves the front door wide open to explore. Thanks to the Spirited Wisdom of Alan Watts, humanity as environment as cosmos will eternally be grateful for such vanguard genius. Might this Now in time be picking up the pieces of our web we've woven within the fabric of Our Cosmos ?

An artist's self-harm does not invalidate the beauty of his work. He (I believe) would say that you are free to discard his work for whatever reason you choose, and that is simply your own opinion. I choose the view that we are fortunate that he was able to impart such a brilliant and hopeful philosophy to the world, in spite of his self-harmful behavior. By observing, suspending judgement, and accepting life with all its complexity and contradictions, we can live out his philosophy.

Exactly! He often says it himself - that he is an entertainer, presenting different views of the world. What we do with that - take meaning from it or discard it or simply enjoy it like music, or any combination of these - is up to us.

I actually like the music. I love Alan Watts. Can't really hear him over the music. Nice for sleep but I wish music was softer or not there. Music would be ok with with this if softer. I could use for sleep....but would also love to hear without music or sifter music. Do you have it without the music? ❤

Saw, heard him at his house in Tiburon in 1969 while at UC Berkeley. When a student caused a loud sound passing gas, he commented that we needn5 laugh at something natural. No longer listen to a man who chose drinking himself to death. Clearly he did not believe in his own teachings when he put zero value on life . As a teacher and an exampler.....nuts.

It's all good and great until one looks into actual biography of motivational speakers or philosophers as well as "peer reviews" on their theories. Usually, their words go one way actions- another. Watts was viewed as pop culture more than anything else if I'm not mistaken, and many of his remarks are elitist and far from the spirit of Buddhism. Entertaining, not inspiring
