Most of these are basic tutorial messages stuff. I wish there more "Veteran Tips" like region bleed resistance stuff. Guide is good but mostly is for new players.

Whose your least favorite of the five act bosses? Gotta be seething sigh for me, I feel like all the other bosses allow a wide variety of strategies and team comps when it comes to dealing with them but the sigh practically forces you to run either Highwayman or Hellion because barely anyone else can hit rank 4 consistently. I dunno, maybe I'm just bad, but I absolutely despise that boss.

Great tutorial as always One more helpful tip If your slowest character is the only character who has the vines after you cleared one you can wait and not clear it until he gets double vines next turn It will delay the waking dead attack from him and give you more actions to play around with

By the way, one thing I forgot to add into the video: IF YOU HAVE LEVEL 3 STRANGLE, IT DOES DAMAGE EACH TURN. This means it can kill one of your heroes, I'm definitely not typing this because it just happened to me in a run haha :)

Really looking out for the new kids! Once you start getting into this fight and understanding it better you can do some pretty cool stuff imo. With how important turn order is in this fight, you can do some pretty interesting things with a really slow hero and a fast one. It lets you delay the Walking Dead a lot if you can play around it correctly and since the tap roots reduce your speed you can get some pretty interesting plays where you only hit the Root once and on the next turn your slow hero goes after the General and hits the root multiple times avoiding the Walking Dead. If you can go before the General on the turn after that you can clear all the growths and essentially stack what would've been two Walking Deads into one. Not exactly my favorite boss but I appreciate the design!

While the General wasn't the first boss I wiped to (it was the Bookworm cos' I destroyed his books like a genius), I did eventually. Could you also (for future bosses) explain how a player can tell if they're capable of taking on the lair boss (team comp, moveset, combat items e.t.c) and preparations they can make at the inn?

General and librarian are my preferred bosses to go for because they can be very consistent compared to the other bosses. Great video!

You may have mentioned this and I missed it but: One of the great things about Controlled Burn, is you can use it on a rank that contains a Stealthy enemy, and it'll burn them at the start of the next turn, even if they are still stealthy. Aside from clearing every other enemy and corpse from the board, I think it's the only way to target a Stealthy enemy.

Yea I LOVE the Occultist, I think he's been on every team that I completed an act with.... but I will never, EVER, run him as my main healer. I use Wyrd only on tanks, or when my actual healer(Crusader, PD or Flag) has run out of heals. He starts chaining his 5 of less heals with bleeds and a fight can fall apart so fast. I honestly think if he just did one good heal you probably turn that whole fight around. Funnily enough, if you swap Vestal for Crusader this was the team I just beat Act 3 with on Tuesday. I use Lunge and Fleche though, I love me some dancing.

LOL! took me months to figure out this shit. Its changed since this video but not to much. Still basically the same. Heres a tip for whoever is prying teeth with this currently. You definitely don't want your party to be to fast collectively. Also, medical gear, dots and regen are clutch

I am always surprised how fast this game can be on a decent rig. Every run on my shitty laptop takes up to 5 or 6 hours just because the game stutters so much. Lmfao

Also Seeing as Bounty hunter can die and there is no real repercussions and he can’t develop relationships make him perfect for making so your other party members don’t hate each other

I just bought the game yesterday evening and I am not finding this so called "damage" that graverobber has. She is basically just there as a filler for me to suck up attacks and use her absinthe until the fight is over because the highway man is far superior in literally every way that I can see; his damage is higher, his utility is better, and he can put a combo counter on anyone just because. So far all the grave robber has excelled at is being my most hated hero so far 🤷‍♂️

I really like the start of the video being about the meta progression. It's super important to making this game feel like you're playing the intended experience. It's obvious when you're there at the end but when you're starting it's not something your thinking about because you're just trying to survive. Keep up the great work buddy! 👍

Orphan rank 2 dragonfly is my favourite thing in this game honestly. 4 base burn when mastered, +1 from orphan, +2 from blanket, +1 from snappy. Thats 8 burn to 2 targets plus a decent small hit of damage with a 20% orphan damage bonus. Its around 11-12 damage to 2 targets, and if you can get her back into position 2 on her next turn then she can just kill whoever if in rank three with backdraft. Very silly character when she want to be the team carry, but also very capable of just being a strong generic role player with firefly, controlled burn for bosses, smokescreen, and cauterise (plus dragonfly in case she gets caught up front). She's never not useful, and I love her for it

I'd still stick Runaway in C rank... May not be fully formed but God, Smokescreen is probably my favourite ability in the game. Double blind is so powerful - should be higher up just for that.

Hellion is way better than Leper and I can prove it I will compare the most used paths of Hellion and Leper, which are Ravager and Tempest. Wicked Hack+ (in rank 1) causes 8-13 (mean = 11) without combo and 11-18 (mean = 15). In 5 rounds, HE causes 55 dmg without combo and 75 with combo. Regarding Leper, Chop+ causes 8-18 (mean = 13) dmg. By multiplying the mean dmg for the chances of hit we have the results: Round 1: 13 - 50% blind chance + 53% Db Res - 50% hit chance - 25% blind chance + 53%Db Res - 50% hit chance = 11 dmg for mean. Round 2: 13 - 60% Chop blind chance + 53% Db Res - 50% hit chance + 25% blind chance + 53%Db Res - 50% hit chance = 11 dmg for mean. Rounds 3, 4 and 5 also have 11 dmg for mean. The sum for Chop+ without combo is 55. The sum for Chop+ with combo is 65. In conclusion, Hellion cause same dmg without combo and more dmg with combo. Also, Hellion passive don't need a turn to be actived and increase dmg like Revenge or Ruin. Thus Hellion can cure herself each other turn with Raucous Revelry and 4 rounds in a roll with Adrenaline Rush. On the other hand, Leper can use Solemnity only two times in a battle. And Hellion has toe to toe and Breakthough to reposition and Leper walk as a turtle. I'm sorry Leper, you may be cool but you don't have room in my party as long as I have Hellion. The funny thing about leper is other characters that get blinded by enemy debuffs really suffer from the status effect where leper has 2 additional ways to deal with blind and he gets rid of combo on himself which not many abilities do. On occultist, the biggest problem with him is wyrd is really a terrible button to push. Especially from people who played the first game. But wyrd was good then because there was no health threshold and it's best used before hitting low health and resisting the bleed is harder now because the randomization of trinkets. If wyrd didn't suck he should be higher but I think he's probably D tier. I agree with the list otherwise.

Hey, I'm sorry if you explain this in the video and I missed it, but how do you control stress? In the first game, camping was a really good way to reduce stress mid mission, but I'm yet to find the replacement for that. I know some abilities reduce it, but what's the solution when my entire party is at 80% stress?

In defense of Runaway, she is very team specific. She’s a powerhouse of a support character with Leper if you master Hearthlight. Or, just use Smokescreen and keep leper up front. She’s got pretty good synergy with Crusader on his Aggressor path as well. She’s not the strongest DOT or support character, there are better options. BUT, with the right people she’s pretty invaluable.
