2 aqua clear 70s and a 50? No, it looks like you’re using 1 70 and 1 50. You can see on the back on the tank. Which would come out to the 500 GOH you described, so I think you mistake. What size tank is that? Also why didn’t you just use a 110? Its output is also 500 GPH

If I dont have a sump, can I use a regular fish tank thats the same amount of gallons as the main one that the goldfish will be in? And does the pump go inside the tank underneath the water?also which size chiller should I get for a 40 gallon breeder fresh water tank?
@gordonmarvin99933 жыл бұрын
75 gallons is NOT ENOUGH, give them at least a 125 so they can get 6 feet of space

It would be helpful if you showed what you did instead of describing what you planned to do, then through “the magic of television” everything was complete with you describing the next step.

Beware: Mine broke down after a few weeks and after being repeatedly fobbed off by Chill Solutions they ignored my emails after I sent the unit back to them (with their authorisation.) As one unhappy customer put it: "works fine until it doesn't." Unreliable product and non-existant customer service. Avoid, unless you have hundreds of dollars to throw away!

I’m beginning to start looking into salt water aquariums. I have done freshwater now for awhile and looking for something new. With that, I have a question, this appeared to be a fast set up. Is there no need to cycle a salt water tank? The fish seemed to have been added fast.
@Whgurwns5 жыл бұрын

I've owned a 300 gallon tank and I can tell you from my experience and many REAL professionals, you dont put fish in on the second day. In fact I was always very strongly suggested to wait a month before it would be okay to adding anything significant to a reef aquarium

rafa baraja that’s what I was wondering. Shouldn’t this tank be cycled first? I haven’t done salt water tanks, only freshwater so maybe you don’t have to cycle salt water? Are the bacteria dormant in the salt? Wow that just sounds ridiculous to even ask.

Hi, I have a 12 gal tank. 3 days ago I was at a LFS and bought a small blue tang (1 1/2 inch). Now doing the research I realized that it was a big mistake. Tangs demand bigger tanks. I would like to know how fast do they grow?? How long could I keep it in my tank?? At this point, what can I do after my colossal mistake?? Thank you for your support.
@pramodm65006 жыл бұрын
George Arias I suggest you take her back to LFS since 12 G is way too small even for a juvenile. Believe me i did the same mistake n it died. :( i have now 120G n they all just love it!! If you still have it in your 12g then probably your lucky.
@georgearias73366 жыл бұрын
I bought it at "Manhattan Aquariums" but they didn't want to take it back at all, not even for a smaller credit. The blue tang looks perfectly healthy and happy but gee...it's growing so fast. Maybe by the end of this year I would upgrade my aquarium to a 20-25 gal tank. Unfortunately I can't get a much bigger one because I can't afford the cost of maintenance.

Can anyone please tell me why I have to use live rock for fish only tank? From what I have been reading lova rock does same thing! And I have lots of it in my flower beds!! On is size of a car hood! Yeah...don't care, I'm trying it!! I will cycle tank of course, but one way to find out if it will work... I will still have to sock lova rock for some time...it floats...I will use live sand though...I'll let everyone know if it works... No corals though...don't want it!
@mozarth6 жыл бұрын
Live rock has bacteria coated on it that activates when you re-hydrate them. Live sand is the same. Nitrifying bacteria is the only reason to add live rock and you don't need to if you have other means of kickstarting the cycle.
