Rain Forest is one of my favourite albums. The opening song, Summer Samba, just sticks in my head, so often I find myself whistling it even without realizing it at first. RIP Walter Wanderley, a true master, so much beauty came to this world through you. Many thanks. Much love. E, G, A, ..., B, Bb, A, ... E, G, A, ..., B, Bb, A, ... E, G, A,.. My Mother Sammie is on keyboards...I so enjoyed growing up under her piano..I remember Victor, Christina(singer), and spending time playing maracas and percussion, and I was in the recording studio when they made their album in the heart of SFO. My mother Sammie studied jazz under some greats, such as Brother Jack Mcduff. We moved to SFO when I was about 4. She worked during the day, and played music at night. She ended up playing many different genres, but I have to say Brazilian and Latino music were my personal favorite; full of color, rhythm and life. She also played with Pete Escovedo, and little did I know that while they were rehearsing, I was dancing and eating Juanita's wonderful food, in a room full of conga drums with Sheila Escovedo,(she was a young teen then)who became drummer for Prince and a great artist! I lost my mother in 2021, and do you know she was still playing music in her assisted living facility almost to the end of her life...bringing beautiful music like they had never experienced, and culture to a sometimes forgotten group of people. I am so proud of my mama, and am blessed to be her daughter. I am so grateful for these captured videos of her. Whenever I see these I cry with joy! My daughter Shallen posted just below this and is very musical herself. I thank Mama for helping both my kids appreciate their musical ears, and the inspiration and encouragement she gave them.

@@amyh3873 most elevator music is bossa nova/cascara. Im pretty sure this is something between the two. The bell pattern played here is somewhat a cascara pattern but the rim clicks remind me of a bossa nova. Im pretty sure this is elevator music.
@amyh38732 жыл бұрын
@@nicebassbro6753 this is bossa nova. Elevator music is a derogatory way of describing it. These are some of the top musicians in the bossa nova scene back in the 60s. Bossa nova is one of the most beautiful expressions of jazz or music for that matter.
