He was very special, used different drawbar settings from Jazz-organists and reverb to create his very own sound. He used Hammond spinet organs (L100 & M100 series) on many recordings and live on stage.

When music takes us away from our heartaches and troubles of life, It is a medicine. Walter and his brilliant percussion player were both musical psychiatrists. They take most of us away with their genius playing and choice of songs. I pity those who's ears aren't tuned for the beautiful trip! But than again what do I know about music? O nome do baterista é Victor Manga. Faleceu em 1970 em um acidente. Há uma música em sua homenagem chamada "Tributo a Victor Manga".

Pretty sure it’s Victor Meshkovsky, not Victor Manga. If you google the first name you will see a couple of photos of Meshkovsky and he looks like an older version of this guy.

@@amyh3873 most elevator music is bossa nova/cascara. Im pretty sure this is something between the two. The bell pattern played here is somewhat a cascara pattern but the rim clicks remind me of a bossa nova. Im pretty sure this is elevator music.

@@nicebassbro6753 this is bossa nova. Elevator music is a derogatory way of describing it. These are some of the top musicians in the bossa nova scene back in the 60s. Bossa nova is one of the most beautiful expressions of jazz or music for that matter.
