At 9:29 how do you roll the bottom part of the wall? Do you take the roller off of the pole? Do you use a shorter pole?
@RealcoakeАй бұрын
Yes, I took the roller off the long pole and just used it like a regular roller for the lower portions of the wall.

So it looks like the wall paint you’re applying is same color as ceiling , so I can’t really tell if this worked or not. Would have been more convincing if u paint wall different color than ceiling
@RealcoakeАй бұрын
The ceiling is a white paint while the walls are gray. It is probably the poor lighting in the area that makes the walls looks the same color as the ceiling.

You didn't show how well to lay out of the side walls. With having the stairs in the way while you're trying to roll from top to bottom.

thank you so much for doing this. Other videoes don't actually show reaching and doing them really hard to reach places. I needed to see someone actually doing it. I never thought of using a sponge pad. This beats using a ladder and plank. thanks x

Why only paint in the middle. Seems like the edger would hold more paint, and give you more coverage.

We just had an attic conversion done and the stairwell is built over the existing lower stairwell... the boxed off space created is a similar height to the one you just tackled. Wish me luck, going to the hardware to buy similar tools tomorrow!

I bought a good quality extension pole. It was so heavy! I ended up using the flimsy extension pole my dust mop is on, lol. Also, I painted the ceiling the same colour as the walls so I didn’t have to be so particular about straight lines. I found a holder for my paint brush and just cut in with that. It’s so high up that a person would have to have pretty good vision to be able to see any imperfections. It’s been more than ten years since I did that. Sadly, I’m gearing up to do it again.

Other tips - Build in downtime for screen time - if you are a screen time family, or reading, or movie watching. Try to keep some of the home routines while traveling - could be Saturday night movie, Friday game night, pizza night, nightly family reading, etc Give the teens some extra cash for the trip and let them budget and buy their own souvenirs. Buy them a road trip journal or camera and let them document the journey.

Well done with the paint pad set, it must have taken you a long time to keep loading the pad. I have tried one in the past on a pole and found it very awkward to control, I've decided to stick with my ladder on a stair platform and brush I feel I can cut in better and have more control. But Well done you 👏🏻
