The overall rendering quality is something we're improving with each release, but it will be some time until the headset hardware is capable of rendering high end visuals like the pc 🫠

There are some limitations to consider with the room capture, we would recommend trying a capture and then editing the final result for that room. Most of the time the room capture will work well in a single room, but it's probably not ideal for moving from room to room and running the capture command. You can also consider using something like Polycam to scan your home and import it into Arkio 💡 We've built Arkio to handle some heavy loads of triangles, so throw as much as you can at it ⚖️

I figured it out! MTL files only tell you where to find the textures, they don't actually include the textures. I needed to adjust the export settings of Blender (my preferred 3D editor) by setting "path mode" to "copy" to actually create duplicates of the textures in the exported directory. I then zipped them all together and uploaded to the cloud.

We can totally do this! 🏗️ Using any of the quest devices you could do this exact exercise by using the passthrough mode and modeling the dimension of this form you want. You could import a model of the sideboard into Arkio as a reference or create one on your own, activate the passthrough mode and start feeling how the object feels in the space 🫠

@@ArkioHQ I dont have the 3D data of that object, i am more of a normal user without 3D design experience. Can you draw basic shapes like a box with let say 2m x 1,50m and height of 75cm in Arkio directly?

We got you covered for sure! A box is the classic starting geometry you can use to model in Arkio, you should give it a go! Some of our best creators come from a non design and/or 3d background, so don't feel like that is a requirement to jump into Arkio 🫠

Hi hi ! For simple openings you can use the move command to select the Boolean form to copy and paste the command. For more complex openings you can try to use the group function around all of the geometry to copy and move the opening. Give those a shot a let us know if you need more help! This type of functionality is a bit challenging to get to work and we are aware of this pain point in the creation tools. We are aiming to improve these commands to make a cleaner ux for creating.

hi! thanks for reaching out with this issue, let's figure out what's going on. Can you provide some additional context to what's happening? It would be helpful to know if you had setup a new guardian space, what your arkio scene looked like prior to room scan, and what type of room you're scanning (typically very large rooms with high ceilings will give the scan some challenges) The room scan feature does a few automatic steps. It creates a wireframe of all of your walls, brings you to 1:1 scale, and set you to passthrough mode. We've noticed the quality of the scan is a hit or miss. When the quality is low we see our users prefer use passthrough mode to and manually outline their room.

Hi! We typically go with the 128gb headset, but more size is never a bad thing. What ends up taking up the most space is the videos and images captures from the headset.

As someone with a filled up quest pro, go with the maximum.

Hi 👋 Sorry for the delayed response ⏲️ but hopefully we can still be of assistance! What you're seeing is a new feature we built into our app for making it a Boudaryless App for the meta quest devices, which basically means that instead of using the typical guardian space we allow you to work without the boundary of the guardian. In order to make this safe for our users we need to allow for them to see the outside world if they are moving around while in VR. At a certain speed Arkio will enable a transparency in your view that will overlay the outside world and will go back to normal once your speed has gone down. This feature is mandatory, but we know some users are asking for changes so we are still tweaking how this works within the app.

@ArkioHQ thank you for answering me, but I don't get it, with boundaries it's still safe, you should let the man who is using the app to choose if use boundaries or the boundary less option. All the apps for Vr work with boundaries, and I think this should too, If you want to keep the boundary less version it's ok, but give me the possibility to use also the boundary mode please

We hear you! This feature is something we are actively improving. Unfortunately, due to platform restrictions we are unable to have a boundary and boundaryless app, it's one or the other. We're actually the first app to get this approval, and you might some other apps add similar functionality in the near future. 🙃 Can you provide us with some info around what is happening when the opacity passthrough changes? Does it happen more often than you would expect? Whatever info you can share I'll pass along to our team that is working on this feature.

hi! We sadly don't have this documented in our support center just yet, so we can't point you to a step by step tutorial just yet. But never fear!
