When I married a Kiwi (36 years ago) I knew I'd be coming to NZ to live. The first time I visited (I am English) I saw a lot of the North Island first. Then we came South, to visit newly married friends in Dunedin. I knew from that moment that Dunedin was where I wanted to live. And, 35 years after that visit, I've been here for over 25 years! I love Dunedin as much as I love my birthplace. It's HOME.

@m.hreels982218 күн бұрын
Wow, this is why I really appreciate honest reviews! It seems like even if you were using this camera just for vlogging, that door would come off. I was skeptical when I saw their warranty mentioning replacing the lens, no questions asked. That, in itself, is a red flag. Thank you so much for this honest review, man, because this is why you can’t always trust sponsored reviews from other people-they’re getting paid to help Insta360 sell their product. I didn’t even know it needs an underwater housing just to use it. Just imagine all the poor people who immediately took it in the water and broke it instantly. The fact that they have a warning in their pamphlet about the device not being a true action camera is just shocking to me. It’s also concerning that they’re running promotions offering $100 off the device, and it’s shocking that they don’t mention anywhere on their website that it needs to be in an underwater case. Well, thanks again, man. I’m definitely going to avoid this until they start making the camera a bit more durable. The new GoPro Hero 13 just came out, so I think I’m going to go with that. 👍🏻

obviously you did not do a good research before buying. I don't understand how you watched 50 videos and still didn't figure a lot of things out like buying the quick release mount or the lens cover not being replacable etc. dude instead of doing a lot of diving and hiking you better work on your senses of awareness and doing proper research. not many people are complaining. if you are unhappy with it it is purely your fault. nothing is perfect in the modern age so every product will have its on flaws and drawbacks. and hey you are not a camera guy so worst person to review a camera and post bad feedbacks. And by the way, there are tonnes of people like you out there so saying "You are not gonna find someone like you" is not a proper statement but a show off. many people like you don't have time to come to social media and show off their skills and adventures.

I hiked/scrambled up to Long’s Peak in 1987. I had been doing ecological field work at 9-11,000 feet for a few weeks, so I was confident about it. I’m not afraid of heights, but I’m very paranoid about thunderstorms (it was summer). I did the two-day ascent and camped in the boulder field. The weather was great. I was definitely taking it slow the final part of the climb, catching my breath. I’d never been so high in elevation. It was a beautiful, perfect experience that I’ll never forget. But I did a lot of work above tree line after this, and I’ve gotten elevation sickness several times. Miserable. I seem to remember a story about Navy Seals attempting the climb. Many became ill and the whole group had to be extracted by helicopter.

That's rough dude. I've been eyeing this camera up and like to go on similar adventures as you. Cliff jumping, getting into tight spaces and definitely not trying to baby a camera. Really dig the way underwater footage on this camera looks but I also go back and forth thinking it looks good to it looks very unnatural. Well we're supposed to get an Ace Pro 2 in the next couple months maybe that will be better. Also DJI Action 5 is out today or tomorrow. The Hero 13 came out but no major improvements there. Tough to find something really good, also in the market. I take it you're just sticking it out with the GoPro. I am as well, for now. Would have loved to see the Jesse St Louis Ace Pro durability test!
